& Live A Live gets a demo with save transfer.... I'm not the only 1 getting that game, am I?

I'm kinda sad they didn't stream this one live. I would've loved to see everyone's reactions in the chat lol

Well considering it's releasing so close to XC3, I'd say alot of people are reluctantly skipping it til a later date @BruceCM. I'd hate to use this term, but XC3 will cannabilize sales of Live a Live.

Pretty solid direct. I don’t overly care about persona or nier (will double dip of course) but mario + rabbids, the new doraemon game, railgrade and more info on DQ Treasures was very nice to see. Most curious about lorelei, harvestella which is giving me crystal chronicles vibes and little noah. Really hoping the Disney game turns out ok.

Hmm, if you are still getting it later, that's probably what most will do, @NintendoByNature .... So, it shouldn't affect sales in the longer term

I have to admit, this is a Direct where I actually was more interested in the original games than the sequels/ports. Maybe because I genuinely don't need more games to play this year, so anything cool being ported is a thing I won't be able to get near launch anyway, so I can at least just look at a new thing and say "oooh, neat".

Pacman World remake is one of those things I should've called at some point, it seems obvious after other 3D platformer remasters.

Why was Loid Forger in that one game? I'm very confused by that.

Finally, who mixed the audio for the Dragon Quest part? Why was the music so loud? I was joking while watching it like "what? Could you repeat that, I can't hear you!"

It was one of the games in the montage and he shows up for just a second. I had to go back to double check I saw it correctly.

That mini direct was lowkey better than most General Directs.
I expected it to be decent but it really surpassed my expectations.

@iLikeUrAttitude the stuff shown is kinda the type of direct you want to do live, I thought it was gonna suck!

Ahh, the fabled June 29th is finally here. Time for all the leakers and insiders to go back on their predictions!

@StarPoint Not really, June 29th can be explained by it was June 29th in some territories when yesterday's Partner Showcase went live.

Back in 2020 there was a weekly news setup for awhile for example:

• August 18th - Indie World
• August 26th - Partner Showcase
• September 3rd - SMB 35th Anniversary Direct
• September 8th - Age of Calamity announcement
• September 17th - Partner Showcase
• September 24th - Kirby Fighters 2 announcement (released same day as announcement)
• October 1st - Steve announced for Smash Ultimate

While not part of the consecutive news weeks, July 20th was the first Partner Showcase and August 5th was the Pikmin 3 Deluxe announcement.

I get feeling Nintendo's doing something similar now, so maybe we get something like this following the June 22nd XC3 Direct and June 28th Partner Showcase:

• Week beginning July 4th - Bayonetta 3 trailer (if it's still releasing this year)
• Week beginning July 11th - MK8 Deluxe wave 2 DLC announcement
• Week beginning July 18th - Next wave of N64 games for NSO Expansion Pack
• Week beginning July 25th - Splatoon 3 Direct
  ...etc.
