"This is it! All of the clues are coming together. I followed these Mario Kart and Live a Live tweets to this exact spot, and right where you're standing, I found this Pokemon Snap trailer! Hah! Ohh, I'm so close to solving this crime, I can almost taste it."
Nothing brings out a Direct like being wrong. So, I'm here to say, there will not! be a Direct this month. They'll just drop a few new videos before the end of the month instead.
@WoomyNNYes
I'm totally fine without Direct on this month.
There were some trailers have been announced without Direct and I found 3 upcoming games in physical releaseI can pick them all.
@Kermit1
Also, I have different idea about picking the upcoming games since last year.
Whenever I found trailer of upcoming multi console games, I will try to pick the PS4 / PA5 version than Switch version. Not because I don't like my Switch anymore, but I want to give a chance for my PS4 or PS5 games library grow from 3rd party multi console games.
I still have a lot of haven't bought yet Switch games from my list even I considered the upcoming 3rd party games on PS4 / PS5.
Three Hopes releases June 24th so air the Direct after that if more Fire Emblem incoming
September 2021 batch of NSO Expansion Pack games finishes June 24th outside Japan
No signs yet of MK8 Deluxe DLC wave 2
Would lineup with when I thought there'd be a Xenoblade 3 Direct (given the info we've received recently, seems more likely to be a spotlight segment in a general Direct instead)
Shareholders will want to know the rest of the year's lineup and there's a meeting on June 29th (the existence of a Direct would answer their questions as it would be announced on June 28th)
Microsoft didn't announce Goldeneye in their showcases so it's likely they gave the announcement to Nintendo
3rd party support is currently very limited after June
@Grumblevolcano I definitely think the chances of a Direct on the 29th are very high, thanks to all the reasons that you've pointed out. I also think it's very likely because:
Silksong is coming out within the next 12 months, and I'm sure it's going to show up again soon
Mario Rabbids still hasn't gotten a solid release date, and it's still set for this year
Bayonetta also hasn't gotten a release date
BOTW 2 hasn't gotten a real meaty trailer yet, along with a release date and title
Metroid Prime 4 hasn't seen the light of day in over 5 years now
"Science compels us to explode the sun!"
Currently playing:
Persona 3 Reload (PC)
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy (PC)
I do hope the 29th is correct (or well any day in June), but everyone jumped on the bandwagon to confirm that date only after Alanah mentioned it. She is definitely a reputable person, but she just really casually dropped the information while streaming and double checked her notes.
We know that date is the date of the shareholders meeting. She could have been easily told by someone to expect news from Nintendo on that date (meaning the shareholders meeting) and she assumed it was a direct and noted it down as such.
All I want is the second booster course pass dlc to release. Realistically we should at the very least get the announcement soon. The first wave released 3-4 weeks after the announcement and if Nintendo does the same for wave two they'll need to announce it before the 29'th in order to not fall behind schedule, assuming they plan on evenly releasing the waves at set intervals.
New Theory
Nintendo is purposely delaying the next Direct, because they want to wait as longgg as possible to reveal games that may require new hardware. (That may be crazy talk, but it would make sense)
