Well, I'm much more invested in FF as a series, so I'll watch that one but I'll definitely check to see what's in the other as well, @NintendoByNature They might have changed when the direct is shown, @Grumblevolcano? Maybe originally, they thought this week would be good & then all the other things got announced, so they postponed it? Possible, at least
@korosanbo
I found Bunny Park and Little League World Series Baseball 2022 (Not from Wholesome Direct) will get physical release on this year.
I decided to pick the PS5 version as I want to build my PS5 games from 3rd party multi console games.
Little League World Series Baseball 2022 was a huge surprise for me as I remembered the series was ended on PS3 / XBOX 360 version (the 2010 version) by different developer and by Activision as the publisher. I also have the 2009 version on Wii.
Now the franchise got rebooted by Game Mills as publisher with way better character design than the 2008 - 2010 version.
All the insiders are suggesting an announcement on the 28th, with the Direct airing on the 29th. I'm not sure what to expect since I feel the release schedule for the rest of 2022 is already crammed. I suppose Nintendo could copy MS and just preface the Direct by saying they'll be discussing games expected to release "over the next twelve months". Everyone assumes Bayonetta 3 for October but I dunno; I expect "Nintendo being Nintendo" by continuing to be quiet about the game.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,537 games (as of December 22nd, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
@Magician They may give large segments to Xenoblade 3 and Splatoon 3 like in the September 2017 Direct, Xenoblade 2 was given a segment close to 10 minutes long. If both games got that treatment, that's half the Direct covered already.
@Grumblevolcano Ugh, I hope not. We already know plenty about both games. A random YT upload would be sufficient for expanding coverage of the games we already know about. Lets leave a majority of the Direct for games we aren't aware of, or those that don't have solid release dates. I would be much more interested in a new release date for Advance Wars (which is what I assume our December or January game to be) rather than more info for Splatoon 3 or Xenoblade 3.

Highly doubt that would happen. Their Directs seem a lot more "rapid fire" these days, not spending too much time on a particular game. Instead using Twitter and Youtube trailers/info drops leading up to release of each game.
"This is it! All of the clues are coming together. I followed these Mario Kart and Live a Live tweets to this exact spot, and right where you're standing, I found this Pokemon Snap trailer! Hah! Ohh, I'm so close to solving this crime, I can almost taste it."
Nothing brings out a Direct like being wrong. So, I'm here to say, there will not! be a Direct this month. They'll just drop a few new videos before the end of the month instead.
@WoomyNNYes
I'm totally fine without Direct on this month.
There were some trailers have been announced without Direct and I found 3 upcoming games in physical releaseI can pick them all.
@Kermit1
Also, I have different idea about picking the upcoming games since last year.
Whenever I found trailer of upcoming multi console games, I will try to pick the PS4 / PA5 version than Switch version. Not because I don't like my Switch anymore, but I want to give a chance for my PS4 or PS5 games library grow from 3rd party multi console games.
I still have a lot of haven't bought yet Switch games from my list even I considered the upcoming 3rd party games on PS4 / PS5.
