Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

@Clyde_Radcliffe Wouldn't make sense to add GBA to a third tier. There's more value for your money with N64 games than GBA games. I could see them maybe doing something like that if they added GC, though.

@TommyTendo I can't see them ever adding GameCube games just because of the size of the games.

@TommyTendo Uh...why would it automatically be part of a "third tier"? Could be added to the current one alongside GB/GBC like the SNES was added a year or so after NES was added to the base service? 🤔

@Clyde_Radcliffe If they release them on an actual emulation app rather than messing with each game's coding separately it wouldn't be an issue. 👍

@PikaPhantom I think it's just Europe but it would be interesting to see the timings of the America channel.

I doubt that we will get a Nintendo Direct this week because of the FFVII 25th Anniversary stream tomorrow

@TowaHerschel7 I didn't say it necessarily would come to that, I said could.

@Clyde_Radcliffe They're not that big. The discs are 1.4gb, but they can (most likely) easily compress them.
Shouldn't be an issue since you can expand up to 1TB or 2TB with SD cards.

So the Fire Emblem leak has really got me thinking that we could see this really soon in a Direct. Some screenshots of the game recently leaked as well:

The fact that there's leaked a new FE game gives me hope we will actually get a direct in June.

Nintendo's 3pm UK time tweet is about one of the Live a Live trailers from yesterday.

@Grumblevolcano So... I guess not news for a Direct today either? Ugh. At this point, it probably won't happen this week it seems.

Nintendo does understand that it is an unspoken rule that we all expect a digital presentation around this time, right? I hate when they do their own crap like this. There are plenty of games they can show off and give us more info on. This is one of the times out of the year that used to be exciting.

So I was hoping everyone would have given up on there being a direct by now when I got to check in lol. That 'wednesday' leak just hit it's final curtain. I don't see more than a 5% chance of a replacement E3 direct at this point... We're almost certainly staying radio silent til September save Splatoon and Xeno specific directs.

@link3710 Every day I lose more and more hope. But I haven't given up yet! I probably should, but I don't enjoy thinking rationally.

Only reason I have hope is because the sheer amount of stuff we need to hear about. Mario Strikers DLC, Mario Kart DLC, Bayonetta Release Date, More Splatoon Info, Mario + Rabbids Release Date, Probably Three Hopes DLC, That New Leaked Fire Emblem, and Whatever new games they have coming up.

There is still the rumors of it being the 29th which would make sense for the fire emblem game seeing as how they probably don't wanna have multiple announced fire emblem games competing with each other.

@Blooper987 That's where I'm at, too. There is a lot of stuff that they have to go over soon, PLUS a bunch of announcements for new games, BOTW 2, the Mario Movie, etc. I still think it makes sense for them to have a Direct.

@StarPoint I also think it's likely we see Tunic, the Persona games, and some cloud ports (ugh) announced for switch soon
