@CANOEberry Yeah I think this is a case of both Microsoft and Sony spending huge sums to get games onto their systems to push hardware/subscription sales and Nintendo just cars about their first party, some random indie games and whatever odd Platinum Games exclusive they fund.

@Noble_Haltmann no, Banjo Kazooie belong to Rare a studio own by Microsoft, and beside Microsoft don't care about Banjo Kazooie, they about shooter games, @CanoEberry Hollow Knight Silksong was a timed exclusive on Switch just like Monster Hunter Rise, if we get another Persona game on Switch, it will be the dancing games.
@BruceCM I'm leaning towards Partner Showcase on Tuesday. While I do think Goldeneye is most likely to appear on the Switch via NSO Expansion Pack, a huge chunk of the most notable N64 games not on NSO yet are Rare games so there could be a headline for more Rare games coming to NSO (if Age of Calamity can appear in a Partner Showcase, so could DK64 and Diddy Kong Racing). Persona and Silksong could be other headlines.
Nintendo just cars about their first party, some random indie games and whatever odd Platinum Games exclusive they fund.
@FragRed Now that makes sense, and definitely sounds like them. Good reasoning there.
@GrumbleVolcano A Partner showcase is not a full Direct, not in terms of scope and length. That wouldn't look so good, I think - Sony was chastised for their E3 no-shows in this past...
The lack of a Goldeneye announcement in the Xbox showcase today makes me think that it is more likely that there will be an announcement in the Nintendo Direct and that there will be no difference between the version released on the Xbox and the Switch.
@Anti-Matter capcom is the big one tomorrow but I doubt there will be much on the switch front. Hoping we get some Resident Evil games coming over but I'm not holding my breath. A new megaman would be cool as well. As would devil may cry 4 or 5, which again, I also doubt to come to switch. Just some nonchalant wishlist items 😌
@NintendoByNature Pardon my query, but what time is that on? I know it probably won't have anything new in it but being the Capcom-obsessed fanboy that I am, I'd love to know when it's on.
@NintendoByNature Capcom said the showcase will be focused on previously announced games. So there isn't anything for Switch there except Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak.
Also the new resident evil games can't run on switch.
Something is afoot here. Silksong was announced as a Nintendo console exclusive. Persona is no longer console-exclusive (surely Sony cannot be paying AtluSega to play "keep-away" from Nintendo?). NCL has not even announced a forthcoming Direct, which is unprecedented this late in the game, I believe. What this means, I don't know - but I am baffled.
It means that Silksong took too long to make sense as having any Switch exclusivity after 3 years (Xbox Series X had not been unveiled when this was suggested) and Microsoft paid a lot of money (not sure for Silksong, definitely for Persona). I don't think its much more than that.
