Interesting. I wonder if any 3ds games will make the cut since Nintendo usually discounted many 3ds games during their typical "e3" sale.

Also makes me wonder if a direct is around the corner since we now have the super sale about to live.

@Grumblevolcano
Hmmm 🤔

The February 2022 European sale was announced 24 hours before the February Nintendo Direct was announced.
The same also applies to the September 2021 sale/Direct.

@westman98 If they were to announce one tomorrow, that would mean airing on Thursday which seems very unlikely given Summer Game Fest.

Yeah, could be next week, there's not much after the 2nd Xbox show.... Or the week after, which doesn't seem to have anything yet?

It's difficult to get excited for the Capcom showcase if all they'll show is previously announced games.

A borefest, like last year's Capcom showcase.

Skip.

Switch Physical Collection - 1,537 games (as of December 22nd, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)

@Grumblevolcano I mean they would keep with recent E3 tradition of stealing everyone else's thunder with their own showcase so maybe it isn't too crazy when you think about it like that.

Wholesome Direct was really dope for me last year, like I was impressed by almost every indie games shown from the direct.
Hopefully this year will be same.

I think we will see a direct this month, mainly because Nintendo never really announces directs too far in advance

@Kermit1 I don't think so. They usually will do it like around the 3rd week of June. And next week is packed with Xbox and Capcom.

So I don't think there will be a direct. Besides, I don't think Nintendo really needs a direct. They got a lot of stuff coming this year.
Maybe next Wednesday will be a direct but I don't think there will be.

@anoyonmus you never can tell with Nintendo, when and what they'll do next.

@Kermit1 true. But as we keep going, it is getting increasingly unlikely there will be a direct.

I'm almost certain there's gonna be a direct. Only thing that would make me change my mind is if they say there won't be one or if they announce the mario kart dlc seperately

They sometimes announce directs only a couple days before they happen, and typically it would be next week or maybe even the week after when it happens. Just be patient, Nintendo will probably have something

I'm pretty sure we're gonna have a Direct next week. Just my feeling as of right now

Yeah, I still think we're going to get one this month. Pokemon & Splatoon are the only post summer games we have release dates for (yes, I know September is still technically summer).

We still need release dates for Bayonetta 3 & Mario + Rabbids, & I doubt those 4 games (including the two mentioned above) will be the only games in the last half of the year. Plus, we still need info on the next MK8D drop, which should be coming soon.

EDIT: Also, the first half of the year has been really packed (including 3rd party console exclusives).

Jan-June: Pokemon Arceus, Kirby, Triangle Strategy, Chocobo Racing, Switch Sports, Token Ranbu Warriors, Mario Strikers, Three Hopes (even Advance Wars was ready to go as well).

July-Dec (so far): Live-A-Live, XC3, Splatoon 3, Pokemon S/V, Bayonetta 3 (tentative), Mario + Rabbids (tentative).

Given how packed the first half of the year was, you can see the second half still has some spots that can be filled, even if only a few smaller games or 3rd party exclusives (and even if you want to include MonHun Sunbreak as a full game).
