Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

@Giancarlothomaz I highly doubt that. The June Direct is always between the 8th of June and the 19th of June, usually on the earlier side of that range. It could be GB/GBC/GBA support being added to NSO+E though.

@korosanbo If E3 was cancelled next year as well, absolutely, however usually these events are planned a year ahead of time so they didn't know that E3 2022 would be cancelled at the time they likely scheduled the event.

Not yet, @korosanbo .... In theory, Nintendo could do their direct anytime but there are still the various alternative digital things instead of E3 You can be sure that as soon as anything is announced, it'll be shared here & talked about around the whole forums, though
In fact, I'm pretty sure it'd be all over the internet, as well, so you won't miss it, lol

@korosanbo If the normal structure continues with this year there's 3 unannounced games, 2 for October and 1 for December with 1 of the October ones likely being Bayonetta 3.

@korosanbo Bayonetta 3 was revealed to have a 2022 release window back in September and the release timing of Bayonetta games are generally late October to coincide with Halloween.

@BruceCM I think it's likely that there will still be a Direct in June since at minimum they need to promote Mario Strikers/MK8D DLC

Let's hope so, I can't wait for Bayo 3 .....

Don't know what to make of this whether it increases, stays the same or decreases the chance of a Direct.

@Grumblevolcano One has nothing to do with the other as Nintendo won't abandon their Direct for an in-person only event especially during an ongoing pandemic which will undoubtedly severely impact the number of people going to in-person event like this.

@Grumblevolcano would a 3 month long road trip effect a summer direct? We'll find out soon 😃

I would love a direct next week, because that is one week earlier than two weeks

@TowaHerschel7 @NintendoByNature I was thinking in the sense of the summer already being laid out so perhaps Nintendo would focus heavily on the summer titles instead of announcing stuff further in the future.

I also think that the week of June 12th is pretty likely. Not sure why, just a feeling.

@Grumblevolcano Aside from Pokemon Scarlet & Violet we literally only know what's releasing through the end of July. That's abnormally short-term even by Nintendo's standards.

Edit: And we haven't heard anything about wave 2 of the MK8D Booster Course Pass yet which has to release sometime this month or next to keep the waves at least somewhat evenly distributed.

@TowaHerschel7 Splatoon 3 is September 9th and there's not usually 1st party games in August (2019 was the exception with Astral Chain).

@Grumblevolcano Okay two games, the problem is we don't know about many AAA releases actually confirmed to be released after July on Nintendo Switch either and the ones we do don't have a set release date. Even if Nintendo themselves only has 2-3 new game announcements, Nintendo could still announce the new Booster Course Pass wave plus a bunch of third party announcements alongside an indie showcase which could easily give us a 40 minute presentation.
