@SViper No, the twitter person isn’t busy. That’s not how company twitters run. They have a team of people who are outright hired to tweet for the company itself, and the people who run these accounts are entirely different from one another. Microsoft, Nintendo, and Gamefreak most likely decided to go silent due to current world events, at least in America. The American version of the presents is most likely delayed as they went dark on social media, so they’ll probably go dark on youtube as well. They generally won’t just post a direct out of the blue without announcing it for the English audience, and given most of the fans of this series are casuals, they won’t even know about the presents until the English accounts tweet it out, given that they most likely don’t follow the Japanese account.

@VoidofLight I said personal not person, so your first 3 sentences comes from your misread/misunderstanding. Plus realized that it would been much better type personnel not personal in this case, so be fixing that part in previous post asap. You mean Russia attacking Ukraine physically?

@SViper Even then, the Personnel in the team are hired to write tweets. They can't just be "busy", given it's their job to do so. Also, yes, that event. That's probably why some twitter accounts are going silent, as to not seem like they're promoting luxury items in the time of crisis for another country.

@VoidofLight @SViper Twitter may be silent for the various brands but a quick look at YouTube shows they’re still posting videos as of today, so there’s still a good chance that the Pokémon Direct will go ahead on Sunday.

@FragRed I mean, it's unheard of for them to just post a direct without announcing it. Not everyone follows the Japanese twitter, or checks Nintendo news sites, and I'd imagine they'd want all eyes on the direct itself.

Well, it's airing tomorrow, and still no announcement of the Presents for North American or European audiences. It's probably safe to say that they delayed it, unless they're just going to release the thing on the youtube channel randomly without saying anything else.

The stream is up for the Japan Pokemon Presents:

I remember there was an Isle of Armor trailer that revealed Galarian Slowbro and a bunch of other things that was never uploaded by the English channels because of something going on. Could this Presents be similar then?

Expectations:
-Kirby and the Forgotten Land
-Some Nintendo RPG IP (Xenoblade, Fire Emblem, new Monolith IP, Xenoblade Warriors?)
-Splatoon 3 Date and Trailer (+Potentially a Splatoon Direct Announcement?)
-Some Wacky Port (A Miracle Port like DOOM)

Wants: (At least one of these and Im ecstatic)
-Eiji Aonuma
-Hollow Knight Silksong
-Wii Sports or Pilotwings
-Squid Research Lab Shenanigans

Was just looking back at my predicitions and wow, i kinda nailed it. Yep we got kirby. Plus, We got a new xenoblade, plus i called out a new rpg-based warriors title. We got splatoon 3 and a summer release window (but not a direct or specific date). And we got a miracle port in no mans sky (and kind of the portal collection).

For the wants we didnt get hollow knight, zelda, or squid lab shenanigans. BUT, we’re getting a wii sports sequel 16 years later. FINALLY.

So here are my official predictions for Nintendo's June Direct, ranked by how surprised or unsurprised I would be at their appearance. Some of this stuff has already been revealed, but some are speculation for new things on my part.

1 - Would be mightily surprised if absent: BOTW 2 (Title drop, more gameplay), Metroid Prime 4 (Title drop, cinematic trailer, vague release window), Next Mario Kart 8 DLC Wave, Splatoon 3 (More campaign + new modes), Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope (Gameplay, release date), FE Three Hopes, XC3, and the Super Mario movie (Official trailer revealing how it looks and sounds).

2 - Sort of expecting something to be shown: Bayonetta 3, Metroid Dread story DLC, Hollow Knight: Silksong (Gameplay + Release date), Mario Strikers Battle League (New characters maybe? I'm unsure here)

3 - LOL: Pikmin 4, Mario kart 9

So yes, I am fully expecting Nintendo to finally show off Metroid Prime 4 this year. It may seem like a stretch, but it totally makes sense for them to do it this year since they're still riding along with the hype of Metroid Dread. Even if we don't see any gameplay, that's fine. I would at least love to see a title and a cinematic trailer.

I'm also 100% positive that we'll see more BOTW 2, including a release date, more gameplay, a title drop, and some more story details.

Also Silksong. Yeah.

@StarPoint I feel like Mario Strikers wouldn't be in the Direct but it's definitely a prime candidate for a Treehouse session or two, assuming they do that this year of course.

I predict we'll get Indie World on the week of March 21st (probably March 22nd) and some sort of Direct in May. Nintendo generally has something going on even if there's no games releasing and there's nothing in May. If E3 is cancelled I could see the June Direct in May so Mario Strikers could be included, otherwise maybe a Splatoon 3 Direct or a Pokemon Presents.

I feel like a Pokemon presents is likely to come up within a few months time, given that they did practically the same thing with Sword and Shield that they're doing with Gen 9.

I would like a Splatoon 3 direct just to see what's new. And at the same time get a new splat test or whatever it was called.

When would you guys expect the next Indie World? Isn't there normally one in March?
