Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

Do you think that Pokemon Generation 9 could be presented this year at the upcoming Pokemon Presents, which should take place in late February

@PrinceOfDarkness I think it's a bit too early. We just had this gargantuan new Pokemon experience made by the same people who make the new generations literally 2 weeks ago and a month by the time the anniversary would roll around. The far more likely option would be either DLC for BDSP/PLA or spin offs for days. I'm praying for another PMD remake/Pokepark game myself (though realistically, this would be the perfect opportunity to bring Conquest back from the dead).

I think the only way Gen 9 is coming this year is if TPC basically goes "Surprise, Legends Arceus is in fact the beginning of Gen 9" and Gen 9 is essentially revisiting all the regions far into the past with each region being a DLC expansion to Legends Arceus.

But I doubt that would be the case given it would alienate the competitive community.

I agree, absolutely too soon for Gen 9.

I realise the past few generations have been 3 years, but none of these generations had a main game revision (if you count the DLC as SwSh's "third version"), remakes and an entirely new mainline game based around a new concept (not to mention a pandemic!).

I could see Gen 9 being announced this year, but there's no chance it's coming out. I'd expect another $30UDS expansion pass for Legends though...

@ElRoberico You know what I don't think we actually see in Legends? The Resort Island that you get to go to in the post game of DPPt. We have Stark Mountain in Firespit Island but apart from that, nothing. That would be a prime location for potential DLC. I would kill to get more pokemon to catch as well, being able to get more kinds of Pokemon with Legends' catching mechanics would be wonderful.

With the last few directs, I've tried to make a little thing with every game announced in one image. I did it again and I think this is the one I'm most proud of. There was so much stuff to try and cram in but I managed.

Does anyone else find it interesting that Nintendo's really unpopular/controversial announcements come within a few weeks of Directs? It can't be a coincidence, right?

It's Pokémon Day/Birthday Presents not the random day Pokémon Presents!

I think that the presents is going to be delayed for English audiences. It seems like the American twitter accounts for Nintendo, Xbox, and Pokemon went dark and haven’t posted since the 23rd.

@VoidofLight most likely will not be delayed, because they usually have international/English version of video too before posting anywhere about it. So probably TPCI twitter personnel and some other personnel from TPCI probably is too busy for moment. But knowing it will be Sunday when Presents will happen there is still possibility of the delay for international/English version.
