The plushie weapons even have facial movements and stuff when charging or reloading, it's so slick.

What a banger of a title update. We've now amassed 10 free DLC monsters added post-release, in addition to a fan-fave arena, layered weapons and armor, anomoly Quests which are now up to Level 200, gunlance shelling level can now reach 8 for all gunlances, Followers now being able to hunt with you in the entire expansion, all sorts of augmenting weapons and armor, all sorts of extra event Quests with rewards... it's just nuts how much has been added. And we're not done yet. We get 2 more monsters in winter and the final big one in spring.

Like... it's the perfect Monster Hunter game. It's more than I ever could have possibly hoped for. And it's hybrid handheld with gyro aiming with a Steam release for posterity? Chef's. Freaking. Kiss.

@JaxonH I have to get su break at some point because it really does sound like it’s turned into an amazing game! Which tbh I couldn’t care how easy the series has turned into, it’s fun!

Oh, you needn't worry about that. Sunbreak is every bit as hard as World was. Only exception being the single player only low rank village Quests, which serve as more of a new player tutorial to learn the monsters.

But roll up on one of these Level 200 Afflicted Scorned Magnamalos come Thanksgiving, and I'd advise having a pacifier at the ready 😀

Ugh...omg, screw it...anyone still hunting online in this game? I need to raise my research level thing and doing this alone is taking an eternity...

Everyone is saying multi-monster hunts are the best way but it takes me almost 50 minutes to finish a quest alone now.

Monster Hunter Paradise apparently coming to PS5, XSX, PC and will come to Switch 2 if a supposed info leak is to be believed. Keep in mind the leak could be fake- we've definitely seen that before. But it doesn't sound too far fetched.

• Over 100 monsters are planned for the game’s launch, most of which are already available in Monster Hunter Rise, World and Generations
• Battle pass system will replace expansions in this new entry. You will be able to purchase the battle pass once the season ends, though you may miss out on event quests, which are time sensitive, and may return later at some point
• Game will feature micro-transactions via an in-game item shop, where you’ll be able to buy cosmetics etc.
• Game will have a system in place that will allow you to call NPC clones of real players for solo sessions, similar to NPC quests in Monster Hunter Rise
• Story will allegedly be about a human main villain trying to awake Lethalis, a black/gold wyvern with massive four leg/wings, which is the natural rival/wyvern version of Fatalis
• Game will feature Hunter Arts, which will allow players to infuse their characters with an element, giving them special abilities, such as faster movement, explosive attacks etc.
• Capcom plans to have Monster Hunter Paradise last until the end of the PS5/Xbox Series console generation. It also plans on releasing the game on the next Nintendo console as well as PC

...So no online hunts, then?...Oki. T.T

I'm currently finishing up Bayonetta 3.

But when the title update 3 drops I'll probably hunt Thanksgiving Day and weekend. Though I'm pretty far behind with MR and Anomoly Rank.

@Joeynator3000 Hey mate, I'm still dropping in a couple of times a day for a few quick hunts... just polishing off my final TU2 build before the next update drops Still repping Greatsword, but moved into Surge Slash / Rage Slash playstyle and loving it.
I'm AR Level 120 (finally!) and would be more than happy to help you bump up your MR/AR levels. Not sure if we are connected on Switch, but I'm 6657-2171-6029 (tag CarlJD87)

Sounds exciting, especially the prospect of 'Hunter Arts'.... sounds like we might actually be able to level up and build our characters for once? (alongside conventional armor sets / decos etc)
I recently made the decision to sell my PS5, as honestly I'm spending so much more time on Switch due to the handhold flexibility.
The rumoured 'Switch 2 / Super Switch' would be a Day #1 purchase for me, and I REALLY hope that Capcom put the next mainline MH on this. Even with a compromised framerate and obvious graphical concessions, I really believe the gameloop lends itself so heavily to handheld/portable play.

Sunbreak sucked me in so much more than the base game, maybe due to me understanding the skills/mechanics better, but I really do think its great. Capcom's support and continued updates are pretty great also IMO, and I don't even take too much umbrage with the MTX elements (cosmetic items only, and MTXs prove to be a good earner for companies.... as long as the MTX items remain cosmetic and not 'pay-to-win' then I have no isse)

Maybe I'll try again with TU3, but yeah I'm at the point where the multi-hunt afflicted quests are becoming a nightmare to finish. I seriously had one where I only had like 10 seconds left. The non-afflicted monster being freakin' Kulu Ya-Ku, too. lol

@Joeynator3000 Probably a good time. A lot of us will likely be returning to MHR for TU3, and I'm always up for a few co-op hunts when I not busy with something else.

...I also wonder if followers will be able to help speed these quests up a little if I still don't go online. I know that they're not THAT strong, but maybe strong enough to make these high-leveled quests less stressful. lol

@Joeynator3000 will be interesting to see how the new followers mechanic works in practice...

But probably should make your fights easier, I'd imagine the followers will take a bit of monster agro/attention away from you at times... so you can focus on the hitting

What is your build looking like, what skills etc? Do you need to increase DPS/damage a bit to increase hunt times?

Well we already know how followers work in their own quests...just wondering how it'll work outside of those quests.

I dunno, can't remember and there's so many skills involved. Think a lot of them involve enraging monsters and increasing my affinity and attack during rage.

Oh, and of course a few skills that work with Gunlance.

@Joeynator3000 They will work like online hunters! Every one of them will bring their dog or cat and you can add three followers in most Anomalies/Master Rank quests/Event Quests (MR). So 4 animal helpers and 4 hunters including yourself. While damage output will be lower than an online party, the major upside is that everyone besides yourself won't change the faint count so in that sense it'll be much harder to triple cart as long as you're a good hunter.

@TowaHerschel7 I know how follower quests work. lol

But in those quests they barely do any damage at all, so that's what I'm wondering when they're brought outside of those quests.

Also wondering if we can bring 3 with us or if it's limited to just 2 like the normal follower quests.

So it seems 5 monsters remain for Title Update 4 and 5, and data mining has revealed what they are.

• Risen Shagaru Magala
• Risen Valstrax
• Malzeno variant
• Velkhana OR Namielle
• Amatsu

They can't narrow down which of the two Iceborn monsters it is, since they both have IDs that fall in the range and are both flying monsters (we know they have to be flying because of anti-aerial)

@JaxonH Risen Valstrax terrifies me.... as the MR variant gives me more trouble than any other monster.

Something about his moveset, and combination of quick ranged attacks, always really mess me up.

Saying that though, I've not tried him since my new build (Surge Slash/ACS/Rage Slash - with intrepid heart skill) so hopefully I might fare better.

Busy stocking up on Quiros crafting mats in prep for TU3...
