This will be a good way to increase software attachment for the new Switch users that came in with animal crossing. Smart move.

A little surprising that they're selling this for US$50 instead of US$40 like the 3DS original, especially seeing as it's a straight port. The Switch and 3DS versions of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker were the same price for (more tor less) the same content.
Similarly, this is retailing for AU$69.95 in Australia while the 3DS edition was AU$59.95.
I don't necessarily mind myself, as I am absolutely thrilled and can't wait to play it all again in HD (though I'll miss the gorgeous 3D visuals of the original), but it seems an odd move, especially as the new content looks... insubstantial for the most part.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
@Silly_G Yeah but it's not a full straight port...
I do agree with you the new content (at least what they've shown us) looks skimpy
I'm hoping for a big overview trailer detailing the role of the horse, and announcing new worlds+story addons
Heck, I'd even take some DLC/Expansion Pass.
I also agree about the price.
I'm a little biased though, seeing how I played Miitopia obsessively and loved every second of it. So I'm willing to pay wHateVer it takes to get my hands on this thing.
Gonna be my first physical order in a while, really want the box just for the kicks of having two boxes of my fav game of all time on my shelf
The graphics look A M A Z I NG. Full HD upscale? New shader engine? Wow!
I really hope that this flops before it sets another president of people buying over priced ports on Switch - £40 for this is a straight up joke. You can buy the 3DS version for £15!
@redpanda0310 auto correct as I'm mobile.
Its a fun game but is readily available on a handheld console for less. I'm pretty sure it was cheaper at launch as most 3DS games were around £35.
I can't see the point in this and it screams cash grab. Nintendo are becoming scummier than EA, we will likely end up getting more full priced ports of 3DS and Wii instead of anything new.
@redpanda0310 this gen they have pretty much just sold us the games we already own at full price. At least EA still publishes new games (even if a large chunk are recycled sport sims).
