A 2D game with no 3DS, Vita or Wii U? That's a kinda sucky business decision. I bet something like this would sell better on the 3DS and Vita than it will on the Xbox.

It's because the game is being built with Unreal 4, which Wii U, 3DS, and Vita don't support. It's certainly possible to port the game to an engine that would run on them, such as Unity, but that would cost money. I'm willing to bet that it's a secret stretch goal though.

ok. Why is it being made with Unreal 4?

Because it helps justify the huge amount they are asking for??? Maybe.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

for such a simple looking game it seems unnecessary to use the U4 engine....

There's like 3 pieces of concept art, lol. It doesn't "look" like anything yet.

Why the Nintendo systems stretch goal is hidden? Hasn't Iga heard about Shovelknight which was massively funded by Nintendo fans?

It's not about the money more so the engine Intel Creations is using.

I don't see where it says any amount will get you a physical copy of the game. Plus that seems a little crazy, I would just throw on $1 just to have it

You have to pay $60 minimum (unless they're planning to update the page and told Gamestop 2 hours before they were ready to do the actual update). Gamespot at its finest, folks...

Now I know how Mega Man and Banjo-Kazooie fans must've felt when Mighty No. 9 and Yooka-Laylee, respectively, were announced and funded. The feeling of glee I've been walking around with all day is almost intoxicating.

They just added cheat codes as the next stretch goal, and local co-op after that.
These are some pretty lack luster stretch goals. Well, the first one anyways.

CaviarMeths

Local co-op is a great stretch goal, something that no doubt a lot of people would want.

About $100k to hit that goal too. Wonder what's next.
