@KirbyTheVampire I believe both come with chargers. The New 3DS appears to be the only version of the machine that didn't come with a charger (thank goodness, because that was an insanely cheap move!).

Currently Playing: Advance Wars 1 + 2: Re- Boot Camp (NS)

(Sorry for the double post, don't want this to get lost in the sea of dead threads though)

Does anyone have an approximation of when the 3DS online service will be taken down? I'm just kinda worried about buying one in the next few months and then only being able to play it online for like a year or something. Not sure how Nintendo operates when it comes to that.

I'd say the best way to judge it is by looking at the Wii and DS. The Wii U came out in 2012 and Nintendo shut off wifi for the DS and Wii in May 2014 (about 1.5 years later).

Impossible to really know, but Nintendo said they were going to support the 3DS through 2018. Support meaning software. If I were to guess, you've probably got about 1-2 years beyond the "3DS is not being manufactured" date. I'd loosely figure on 2019-2020 for a total shutdown of online services.

That's my best educated guess, but still only a guess. Hope it helps.

@MoonKnight7 That makes sense. I wish I'd gotten one sooner, but I can deal with that amount of time. Thanks!
