Topic: How much, if at all, do you still play your 3DS(or other devices) since you got your Switch?

I adore my Switch, and it has completely eclipsed all my other gaming platforms. I hardly log into Steam, my PS4 isn't even plugged in, and my 3DS has pretty much only seen streetpass use since I got my Switch.

I concede I am financially well off to be able to buy games at my leisure mostly, I am curious how much other people play their Switch relative to other gaming platforms they already had - or if anyone has pulled you away from the Switch since getting it.

I love my Switch, but I'm only buying physical releases, and the games are too pricey for my budget, so I'm waiting on a fair few games to come down in price, so I'm not swamped in Switch games. Meanwhile I am swamped in games for my other systems, so they're all getting at least some occasional play time. I just play whatever fits my mood really. Doesn't help that my Switch is still a secret, so I can only play it when the missus is not around.

Switch is my favorite console of all time and I love playing on it and buying games for it (just look at my Switch backlog). But if there's a game I feel like playing, e.g. Cuphead on Xbox or some older stuff like Pikmin, I'll play there alongside something on my Switch. I admittedly have bought games for other platforms that have remained untouched or barely played but this is more due to Splatoon 2 than anything else. In conclusion, Switch playtime up, everything else down except for when something I've really been looking forward to comes along.

I use my PC to do things that aren't on Switch, games that I usually play and aren't available on Switch (some of those will be available soon ) watching photos, videos and listening to music. All things that I'd love to have on my Switch since I adore it too and would like to use only it for anything gaming and entertainment related.

PS: I'm waiting for Christmas sales to buy Cuphead on Steam, if it was on Switch I'd probably already bought it

My PS4 just gets turned on once a month to download PS+ games and my 3DS has had a last hurrah, putting 20 hours into a few play through of Samus Returns. Other that that, zip, zilch, nada.

I've put a few hours into Fallout: New Vegas on PC (and downloaded the original Fallout, because it was free on Steam this weekend) and played a little bit of Hyrule Warriors Legends on 3DS. Other than that, it's all Switch, all the time. Sorry, 3DS!

I am rare audience i know, but i play New 3DS most of the time, i played Wii too in summer and i have my GameBoy and all the handheld consoles, not that i play them

@gcunit You hide it from your wife? That'll be an awkward conversation eventually I imagine...

Despite my 3DS having Pokémon, Monster Hunter Stories (which I still need to finish) and a number of other favourite games that I enjoy - and my Wii U having Bayonetta 2 and Smash Bros Wii U, I haven't really been on either of them very often.
My PS4 has been gathering dust even before Switch was released - the only game of any interest to me on it anymore being Rain World (which I also still need to complete). But now I honestly just forget it even exists in my house at all. The library is still far from being perfect right now, but we're definitely getting there. I think once Smash, Pokémon and Kirby come to Switch - I won't ever look at another console the same way. From that point on - it would undoubtedly be my best console of all time.

Haven't touched my PS4 in a long time, and even though I could be playing DOOM and Skyrim right now I rather play them on my Switch. So far I've only played five new games on my Switch, I hope that eventually its library will be even more awesome than 3DS.

@Sir_Anthony Agreed. I loved the 3DS for a long time. Probably spent about 5000+ hours over 4 different units. But now that I've already dumped 400 plus hours on the Switch, plus I have a Tablet, I just am too spoiled by modern screens. The 3DS looks like a device made in the late 2000s... because it was. The Switch has spoiled me. I want everything on the Switch, then I can spend hours annoying hipsters writing novels in the coffee shops by playing my Switch in the coffee shop. lol.

I've had my Switch for couple of months now. I think my gaming is divided roughly at 60% 3DS, 40% Switch. I love my 3DS.

@Heavyarms55 Nah, I'ma just gonna announce that I'm getting one, when the time is right, and thus produce it a few days later. She's not likely to look at my hours logged on my profile, so it's all good.

She actually caught me in the act of playing ARMS one night after she'd gone to bed, but she must have been in a tiredness stupor because it didn't seem to trigger with her what it was. I have 'hidden it in plain sight' on occasion too - the form factor being similar to Wii U, if I play on the other couch then to her it's as if I'm on my Wii U gamepad.

My new Switch killer arrived today too - my SNES mini, it's fantastic!

My gaming habit so far :
3DS still everyday, even just only maintain the date and time stay at same condition for Animal Crossing New Leaf.

NDS games : seldom to play.

Wii / Wii U : Same like NDS.

Switch : Not yet. I haven't got the machine.

For PS4 : I can Only play ps4 on Sunday when I visit my game shop. So far, only Portal Knights that caught my Hype better than my other ps4 games. But, soon after 17 November 2017, The Sims 4 PS4 will built my Hype too.

I still play my Xbox One a lot. I’ve played it more in the last month than I have my Switch. I got back into Battlefield 1 for a bit. But with the games coming in the next couple months that will change. Doom, L.A. Noire, Skyrim and Mario are all on my list. Ironically most of the games I want to play I can already get on Xbox but the appeal on the Switch is high for me.

As far as my 3DS, I’ve not played it hardly at all. I haven’t bought a new game on it in quite some time. Maybe I’ll get Metroid eventually. I still really like the system though. You can’t beat the battery life on that thing on the go. I’ll mostly play it when my nephews want to play Mario Kart.

I also used to play games on my iPhone a lot too. But I’m not into those games anymore. Most of them are the same premise.

I balance my gaming out to be honest based on the titles. My PS4 (with VR) still gets the most overall use, mainly because of my backlog and I don't see that changing for sometime. However, I think that will get eaten into when the Switch titles I am most anticipating (Skyrim, Mario etc) release. Also I have held off on a few cross platform games to play on Switch - such as Rime. Other than that, I have put a fair bit of time into my 2DS and a bit of time into my Vita. I also play previous gen games occasionally on PS3/360/Wii.

The great thing about the Switch is that it complements my existing systems. If I get the main TV I can easily plug into titles that I want on my PS4 and then the next night, be in Nintendo heaven while my other half uses the TV.

I also love my switch but when a good game realeases on another platform say, pc or 3ds i play that one. Im also planning to buy a ps 4 in the near future. Just a few more days and superstar saga releases. Couldnt skip that one. But to be honest i would prefer to play 3ds games on the docked switch. Sadly my hands dont like to play handhelds for more than 2 hours.

I still play the 3DS quite a lot, even more than the PS4. In fact, I just got a New 3DS pokemon 20th anniversary edition.

I play badge catcher on my 3DS everyday before i go to work. Don't ask me why i just have to. But then i play my switch for half an hour at lunch, read book for other half an hour. Then go home, if there is nothing on TV and wife has something to watch i will play my switch in handheld mode.
But if i go away i take my 3DS mainly for street pass, and i don't want my switch to get ruined or stolen.
I remember in 2013 when in Japan my 3DS got maximum hits everytime i went out the hostel.
