One of the things I'm always hunting down is some horror games for the switch. Vaccine was a bit of a let down unfortunately, but I'm staying optimistic. What do you guys think the chances are of getting fatal frames rereleased for the switch? We got some res evil coming, even though it may not be what the majority wanted to see, but I really would love to see a new ip, a brand new horror for the switch only.
So you guys think we will get any decent horror games released this year?

I was born on One Day Before Halloween, 30 October 1984 but I Hate Horror genre the MOST, More Hatred than Shooter games.
Basically I Hate Horror theme due to Satanic / Demonic worship + Gore + Blood + Terror + Fear + Torture + Cursed words. I HATE THAT UNLIMITED %, ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE IS A PEOPLE NAME AS DAMN SATANIC HORROR MOVIE !!! (In this case, I found Annabelle names, at the same it was name of my student. How jerk that people use Innocent people names as a Satan ?! And how am I suppose to see my students name if tainted by those Damn Stupid movies ?! That will be a Bully for her ! And I condemn whoever put innocent people names as Horror movies. CURSED ALL OF YOU, STUPID HORROR MOVIE MAKERS !!! )
Except..... (Calm Mode ON) on MySims, Luigi Mansion Dark Moon 3DS.
I don't mind with those "Fake" Spooky stuffs as long the Spooky level is Cute, Not Vulgar for me.
So... I don't hunt for any Horror games for Switch due to my Natural Hatred from me against those games. But if I found Cute Spooky games with No Vulgarity inside, Safe for Watch as Hello Kitty level, I might consider.
I would absolutely love for good horror games to be released. Maybe the Resident Evil Revelation games will be released around Halloween. Resident Evil 7 would be a great surprise. The Evil Within 1 would be an amazing surprise. I like having to curl up into a ball under the covers when I'm scared.

@Anti-Matter lol damn I didn't realise my post would have triggered you like this! How can you not appreciate the spectrum of emotions and immersion a horror game or movie can bring??! If it scares you too much fine, that's cool, if it's maybe your religious and they offend you that's ok too. But it's such a shame that you have not experienced some awesome moments that horror can bring.
I can find a positive in any genre, if it's delivered well and I find life is so much more enjoyable when you accept things openly and in the context it is presented. But your post is a good reminder how different we all are!

My reaction against Horror Movies is NOT Scared at all (Fear - Inside Out , Disney Pixar was not on duty inside my brain) but ANGRY and AGGRESIVE (Anger and Disgust - Inside Out, Disney Pixar are drive me out Extremely Crazy, Expressing my EXTREME Hatred )
I Don't Need to give any appreciation against those DAMN CURSED Horror Movies. NEVER !! I Should Put a Curse, Condemn All those Horror Movie makers ! Why should I scared against them ?! Why the heck I should be scared ?! Why the hell they try to scared me with DAMN Movies ?! That INSULTING Me, Stabbing my Heart Directly !!
There is ABSOLUTELY ZERO Awesomeness from horror. It just PURE TOXIN, GARBAGE, EXTREMELY MOST SATANIC THINGS IN THE UNIVERSE !!!

Hollow is on the way to be released and it is a new IP right? Honestly I only like Lovecraft themed horror games, like Eternal darkness or the first Alone in the Dark for MS-DOS (I have it from GOG, I'd like a Switch port of this one!)... I'm not a big fan of horror genre but I am a big fan of Lovecraft. I don't think I'll ever buy Hollow but I hope sooner or later we will get some Lovecraft inspired game on Switch. They don't make such games very often but I really like those things

You should know life is about balance, there's a place for evil as much as good sadly, can't teach love without the hate and all that.....damn now your getting me started! Lol
@LuckyLand defo this...I too am not a fan of ALL horror but horror that has immersion. Basically anything that can invoke a feeling out of me I can appreciate lol I never played eternal darkness it have heard good things. I really hope we get it for switch?
@Deathwalka I really hope it too, it is one of my favourite games! It is great and its story is great as well, expecially once you see the real ending! You could probably guess it in advance everything considered but it is still very thought provoking and evocative. And the music was great, I absolutely love Black rose! Everything about the audio was great, I usually don't like speech in videogames but Eternal darkness is one of the few exceptions
Like every Halloween since I can remember, I always found a love to play some seasonally inspiring levels and games during that week. Sadly, never once do I recall a game releasing that very month in the same theme.
This is just an example of the release schedule for the last 3 years, with games that were released at or around Halloween - on the Wii U alone (and just the ones I own). If you count in Virtual Console and 3DS you'll find even more horror or halloween themed / fitting games.
