Topic: Got the Nintendo Switch OLED Yesterday~ 🥰

I got Nintendo switch yesterday & animal crossing new horizon & Luigi's Mansion 3 as a birthday / Christmas present from my parents lol. Already started playing animal crossing. I do have a question though what is Nintendo switch online membership & is it mandatory to have with the console? I don't remember Nintendo ever doing this with the older game systems / handhelds so that kind of threw me for a loop~ 🤔

I did find some games in the eshop that look fun. My baby my universe & 2 free pinball games for my dad. He got his cataracts off is going to play some Luigi's mansion with me lol~ 🤣

Anyone know of other good games on the Nintendo switch to try out later? Thanks in advance for any help~ 😆🤣

@Barbiegurl777 You don't need Nintendo Switch Online (NSO). But you do need it if you want to access online multiplayer.

Nintendo Switch Online also backs up your game saves to the cloud while you have the membership (if your subscription ends, your game saves will only be held for like 60-90 days.

Nintendo Switch online also lets you access their retro game library - NES, SNES. With the more expensive tier of NSO you get N64 games.

Since this is internet, you will get differening opinions on which games are must-have Switch/Nintendo games. So, here's a list of the top selling Nintendo Switch games as of Semptember 2021.

@Barbiegurl777 Yeah, this is the first time Nintendo started having people pay up for the online. That's right - as @WoomyNNYes said, you only need Nintendo Switch Online if you want to play games online, back up your save data for most games, and play other stuff like NES, SNES, Tetris 99, and Pac-Man 99. Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, and access to the Animal Crossing DLC is exclusive to the NSO expansion pack, but that plan is...pretty expensive, to say the least. If you know others who also have a Switch, you could have a family plan by inviting others to your family group, and paying for the family membership. That's what I do, and that lets everyone in your group have access to what NSO offers.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Luigi's Mansion 3 are nice first picks for sure, especially AC:NH - they just made a huge update for it and I'm enjoying it! It literally brought me back to the game, as well. Here are some other games that I'd recommend to anyone:

Super Mario Odyssey
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (especially if you never had MK8 on Wii U)
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (likewise, especially if you never had SM3DW on Wii U)
Super Mario Maker 2
Mario Party Superstars (it came out recently and I already love it!)
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

Those are the ones I can think of from the top of my head. Hope this helped.

NSO is only require for Online Games not for DLC or updates. So look at their online membership cause it's different for different Regions. So look at Nintendo FAQ for NSO if you have more questions for what you want to do or just contact Nintendo Support in your Region for more questions.

You have to play Breath of the Wild and Odyssey. I really think those games are Top 10 if not Top 5 across all Nintendo platforms.

Those can be played and enjoyed by anybody, but if you want to branch a bit, I would also recommend Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Paper Mario: Origami King.

Lots of quality ports too, like MK8 Deluxe, Link's Awakening, DKC: Tropical Freeze, Mario 3D World, etc.

OK before this thread gets to crazy please no one recommend Zelda only reason I ask. I'm not into Zelda at all. ✌

Last PM I played was on 3ds lol~ 🤣 Are any of the "My Universe" games good? Defently want to DL the baby Universe game first~ 🥰 The graphics / game play remind me alot of My Baby Boy DS was watching play throughs of it on YouTube earlier~ 😂😂😂🤣😍🥰 Does anyone know if it has online multiplayer for virtual playmates in the game. I remember when My Baby 3 DS was released ALOT of people wanted multiplayer for virtual playdates but never got the game update~ 🤦‍♀️

I have played Paper Mario: The Origami King, and yes, I think it is so much better than the 3DS one (Sticker Star). TOK isn't my favorite in the series, but it's still a good playthrough. Splatoon 2 is pretty good, too. The Splatfests are over, but I'm sure plenty of people still play it online. I like the Salmon Run mode in that game.

I have My Universe Fashion Boutique and School Teacher on PS4 version.
Basically they are much like Imagine series by Ubisoft but on modern game consoles.
The good is the returning of similar franchise from the past.
The bad is.... they are still repetitive and lack of charisma.
Fashion Boutique was 100% quiet (song only, no voiceover at all), to be honest i called the game as Fashion Disaster as the request or order from your clients was really fashion disaster if you look at the result.
School Teacher is okay, the mini games during teaching are very easy (except the Music lesson), but the game is very repetitive with very limited customization.
There are also another My Universe games such as Cooking Star Restaurant, Puppies & Kittens, Interior Designer, Doctors & Nurses. But don't get really excited with those franchise as i found the current released My Universe games are really mediocre but still acceptable if you don't mind with repetition.

And for My Universe Baby, wait until the Reworking version has been released (it has physical re-release version as well) as it patched the missing things from previous game.

Not sure your style but always look for demos, that at least convinced me I didn’t have to buy a couple games. Fortnite can be fun and is free, great on the OLED as well.

Don't get too excited with My Universe games on Switch as i have played Fashion Boutique and School Teacher on PS4, both of them are really repetitive.
You need to watch these videos to understand the gameplay.

Yes I'm a girl lol~ 🤣 I play some games that guys play. Does Nintendo switch have Street Fighter? Last time I played street fighter was on 3ds & Super Nintendo years ago in the 90's~ 😆 That game I'm pretty sure is for guy's or tomboy's. I'm defently a tomboy a little bit but also enjoy some girly stuff. As for popular games I get into the mario & dk games. It's OK on the repetitive part used to repetitive stuff from my autism ironically~ 🤣 Other me wise watching the movie Beetlejuice 169 times would get boring after a while lol~ 🤣 Surprisingly everytime I watch it I catch something in it I didn't see before~ 🤣 I also memorized the lines & wore out 1 Beetlejuice dvd already good thing I bought 6 extra copies of the movie on dvd~ 😂😂😂🤣

Defently getting the physical copy of My Universe My Baby Nintendo Switch first. Thank's for the videos on my universe teacher & fashion there also on my hit list for later to get~ 😆👍

@Barbiegurl777 The Switch does have Street Fighter, yes. As far as I know, there's the 30th Anniversary Collection and Ultra Street Fighter II. If you liked the SF games you've played, then yeah I would recommend either one of them!

I do have another question. The Nintendo switch let's us post screen shots. Can we post screen shots on Instagram? Not on the other social media websites. Figured I'd ask~ ✌ Thank you for taking the time to read this whoever~ ✌👍

I also just got the OLED model and just love it.

I highly recommend Blue Reflection, 2nd Light and it is a lot of fun so far. Great plot and characters. As good or better than the first.

@Barbiegurl777 You can post screenshots/video clips directly to your Facebook or Twitter account, but not Instagram unfortunately. There's not an option for that.

You could post on Facebook/Twitter, save the screenshots on your computer/phone, then post on Instagram - that's one way you can get your screenshots on there. Or you can use the "send to smartphone" feature on your Switch album, but that's a pretty complicated method. I can help you out with that if you want.

Oh I tried already sending them to the smartphone (I have samsung android phone) it gives a qr code but not sure how to unlock the qr code on the phone to see the pictures lol~ 🤣 @PSVR_lover Yeah I love the Nintendo switch oled as well. The graphics are great on it~ 👍

Does anyone know if Peach Ball for Nintendo switch is any good? I'd be playing it for the pinball aspect if I got the game does seem a tad perverted but I have played Senran Kagura on 3ds in the past & enjoyed the fighting style~ 😂😂😂🤣

Anyone know any good UK or Japanese Nintendo switch games? I plan on importing a few games after researching both game libraries later~ 🤣

Say hello to Model Debut #Nicola 2, Sumikko Gurashi games, Yokai Watch Jam, Yokai Watch 4++.
And please not using too many emoticons in answering / posting. Looks annoying for certain peoples.

Why ask if you can just try? There is 7 day online trial that you can check and see if you want it or not As for games that you want to try don't even know. I would go with all the family friendly games like Mario party etc.. For my taste i would go for Bayonetta still my greatest game Oh and Resident Evil games
