As a fun fact, we also got a few suspicious accounts defending this game yesterday.

Sorry about that. I'll tone it down next time.

@TheLightSpirit if this site is too much for you. Why keep coming back? Are you going to bring up your "bipolar disorder" the next time this happens( which it will)? Sometimes it's better to walk away and not look back. Or try not to click on these threads.

The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

This reminds me of that one time people review bombed astral chain because it's a switch exclusive

If you spoil a game i will find you.

No game deserves to be review bombed. This includes increasing the user score average.

I’ve seen PS5 gameplay, it runs just fine. Level design on the other hand must be really bad to have been focused in the review.

I’ll also reference Push Square’s review when that one comes out because the issues like the performance, are fixed for the most part.
Still, level design is universal.

Maybe if you add one extra zero to scoring, it will be 10/100 and it will looks make a sense.

My main problem with the game are the suits/Level design, the whole "Suit does one thing" sucks I mean its ether the same suit or its used once in the whole level, and thats were the level design comes in I know its meant to cater to the suit in the level its used way to much, in games like mario Odyssey all the levels are meant for the one capture but on top of that there is platforming mixed and and rewards you for using you caps amazing movement options, balan dose not do this instead its just the same old thing over and over again, you may have one suit that can breath fire, but then you have another suit that can breath fire and jump or something, and that another thing why can you only jump if you using a suit?
Its like If I get one suit that can do a spin jump and here you have another suit that can only jump (No spin) but only further, its so stupid and pointless and its unneeded.

At the end of the day these are my thought and if you like the game thats just fine, I'm glade some won can injoy this game, I just wish I could.(I got all this form the demo btw)

Oh, i heard from 1 complain about Balan Wonderland was the way your character walk or run. They said the character walk / run like grandpa. 😆

@Snatcher That's fine the costume system didn't suit your taste. For me personally, it kind of grew on me last time I played the demo. I love exploring in games, and figuring out how to reach areas with the costumes ended up giving me a puzzle platformer experience. I found areas in the level I didn't know were there, I liked that. The levels themselves didn't bother me as I kind of figured out this game was meant to be surreal.

Wouldn't call it a 10/10 game, based on my time with the demo it feels more like a 7/10 game to me. I do want to get the full game, going to wait since my folks like to give me games for my birthday and that's literally happening next week. Just in case I get this as a gift (which wouldn't be a bad gift since I do like the demo).

@Snatcher Thank you. At least unlike the 10/10's here, I actually formed my opinion from actually playing the demo, lol.

I don't think there ever will be a way to have a perfect user review system anywhere. They're really meant for someone to share their experience with a game, not combat conflicting reviews.

Could it actually be the case people actually like the game that much to give it a high review score? It may easily be faked but at the same time you cannot deny it. The scale of 10 is really a poor idea anyway for reviews. 1-5 is a lot easier since you have less interpretation (1=poor, 3=good, 5=excellence). What really separates a 8 from a 9 or 7 from a 5?

@GameOtaku Maybe one or two but not 50+. If the fact that game is obviously crap isn't enough of a hint that they're mostly fake, then reading through some of the reviews and looking at the profiles that posted them confirms it.

So now I'm seeing accusations of music in Balan Wonderworld, at least this one track, being plagiarized.

I don't know, what do you think? Melodically the opening is very similar, but past that the structure is fairly different. I'm not convinced but I don't really have an ear for musical comparison and deconstruction.

@BenAV
How would you actually define crap? I could find lots of people who like the LJN nes games but they are critically panned.

VoidofLight

@RupeeClock They're actually pretty similar, but I don't know if I'd honestly call it plagiarism. There's a large number of times where music in games sound similar to other songs in games or other forms of media. For example, take Runaway Fugitives from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, then take Ilia's song from Twilight Princess and compare the two.

Another fun one is the Kyurem theme from Mystery Dungeon gates to infinity and comparing it to Duel of Fates from starwars.

Shame the Visual Works effort was put into such a weak game story and theme wise. It’s like animating every Christmas children’s movie ever, with the element of magic and wonder.

I mean they made Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children back in 2006, they’re no pushovers.
