I do not like this. The rarity of these games is purely artificial. I wish they implemented a system where, if enough people asked, they would just release more copies.
Limited Run and Special Reserve meet customers halfway by making the standard edition of the games they publish open to preorder for a few weeks. Once the preorders close, then they place their cartridge order with Nintendo. The collectors editions of those games though? Yeah, they usually tend to sell out rather quickly.
So True CE/SE/LE never enough because they cost more to make. Standard is less so they can make more to cover the Special Editions costs. As to those artificial prices that is true and not true unless someone takes over and make them standard release then those others wouldn't be there but they are making games and Risk others aren't taking. So buy the standard to support them and that will insure future growth they will take that into account. Game making isn't a easy business and we've seen the Rise and Fall of the Gaming Industry. So let's be clear on that Game making isn't CHEAP it cost money to go from eShop to Physical and more for Special Editions. So unless Amazon or a conglomerate takes all those Indie companies into one Developer if that every happens before that happens.
I just pre order two copies of Collection of Mana. Although everybody who preorders it will get it. Once sells go live in August they won't produce anymore physical copies AKA a limited run. And it's the same price as digital.
Meh, since it's available to preorder from every major retailer I wouldn't be too quick to label Collection of Mana as "limited". One print run, yes, but that one print run will probably be 200k copies. Not nearly as limited as Lost Sphear (its North American release is exclusive to the S-E online store). But the Mana series is certainly more popular than the games Tokyo RPG have developed thus far, so the physical release of Collection of Mana will probably have a higher value than Lost Sphear twenty years from now.

Atelier Ryza, which looks to be a huge step forward for the series, is getting a collector edition (as expected, can always count on NIS) and it just went live.
Releases October 29, same say as Disgaea 4 Complete, which also has a Collector Edition on NIS Online Store

Is Lost Sphere a limited run @Magician? All i see on the website is that their the exclusive dealer nothing about a limited run. But then again it doesn't say that about collection of mana either. They only said/posted that it was on the day it was announced at E3.

@BacklogBlues those maniacs!! Amazon UK keep putting it up, you can sign up for alerts but by the time I get the e mail it's always gone but they've gone up 4 times over the past 2 days. I've basically been refreshing Nintendo store for the last few days as I knew it would turn up soon. I was so excited when they added the rupee clocks because I knew the LE wouldn't be that far behind!
I'm glad you got one @gimmi_c. But in the end for me anyway. It doesn't matter that they won't ship it to me. After Nintendo UK shot me down i told my wife about it. And she said thank goodness they won't ship it to you considering you already have 2 American Dreamer Editions and 2 Link's Awakening Amiibos already pre ordered. So Nintendo UK probably saved me from sleeping on couch.
I have 2 announcements to make and I'll start with The release of The Ninja Saviors from Strictly Limited Games is this weekend in about 34 hours as the time of this posting. They will be individually numbered and come with a pin set of 5. Secondly Play Asia has changed their policy on noncancelable pre orders AKA their exclusive limited games. They will no longer charge you a week before your order is ready to ship and will now require immediate payment. And this includes existing/already made pre orders. Imagine my surprise when a years worth of games ($394 U.S) that i had pre ordered and expected to pay for little by little throughout the year where charged on my credit card all in one day. And they didn't tell me until about a hour ago through Email well after they charged me yesterday.

Thanks for the heads up @Magician. I've never heard of this game or company before. And after a little research on the game(Good Reviews). And then making me an account with Red Art Games. I ordered two copies for $80(U.S) including shipping. Their website took a little getting used to as they don't translate everything. I thank you again, my wallet not so much.
The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors releases in just under 6 hours from the time of this posting. It's a revision of a Super NES classic. This is the 2nd and final batch of the game and comes in a standard edition with a free pin set and two different collectors edition and will be sold by Strictly Limited Games. Sorry but i had to stay tight lipped about the first batch as i didn't need/want the competition.

I know how you fill @SwitchForce. I tried to buy one when they were in stock and have it shipped the U.S. Just to find out they won't even if you pay extra shipping. But if you're looking for the less spectacular U.S version Gamestop and Walmart still have them. I just bought 2 from Gamestop.

Actually I have a NA PreOrdered not the Limited but did get one for the EU Limited Edition already so your assuming what I did and didn't buy is wrong here.
Radirgy Swag preorders are open, with the limited edition being exclusive to the Dispatch Games online store. No information provided on the print number. Personally, I despise online stores that do not offer the option to pay via paypal. So submit your order at your peril.

They are also selling a special Japan Definitive Editions of the game.
