I can drive to another town but I have noticed that in my town they sell wii/dsi/3ds eshop cards and I'm not sure that they will work on the switch... Does anyone know if they do?
If it says 3DS, it should work.
Just a tip, but I wouldn't recommend buying eShop cards in store. I haven't done that in a few years because of a site I found called CDKeys that sells them at a slightly cheaper price and you can get an extra 5% off using Apple Pay or by going on their Facebook page to get a discount code. They also just send you the code by email instantly.
If you're in Australia, you can't use it unless you make a UK region Nintendo Account. But there might be a similar site for Australia, I dunno though.
