Hi
This is my first time at this. My two sons have Nintendo switches and they have both stopped displaying on the tv via the dock. They charge but won’t display on the tv. I have tried the different docks (2) on different TVs (3). I have tried 2 other docks from neighbours- I have follows advice of putting the cables in certain orders and nothing works. LCD screens go off and as I say they charge. I even did a factory reset on one of the TVs. One switch is in warranty and one just out by weeks. I’m just at a loss.

The only variable I can think of is that I used a charger my neighbour had (official) as he wanted to test it as his son had a switch issue. When plugged in to one of the switches it made the screen go funny. I had to reset it to sort. Could this charger have caused issues.

As you can tell I’m a little desperate and frustrated.

Thanks for reading

Have you tried a third switch on one of your docks/tv ? Doing so you would be able to tell if its the unit or the dock.

If not borrow your neighbor switch and try to put it in your tv. If it fries his switch, that will be your revenge for the faulty charger.

Just kidding.

@Frustrateddad Virtually everyone that's posted here because their Switch that stops displaying on TV is resolvable by resetting the AC adapter (which is pretty easy). I'm not sure you tried that or not, so I'll paste the directions. If it doesn't work, follow the options at the bottom of the directions to troubleshoot.

Hopefully that will get you up & running again.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve tried this serval times to no success. It’s strange that it’s happened to both switches. I’ll try once more and report back.

Just tried. No change. Looks like I’ll send back to Nintendo support but in a lock down situation we need the switches 😂

What about the HDMI? Have you check those? I doubt it's NSW power adapter if you said it's charging. And did you power cycle the Switches or Update them as well. There some basic test you should try to verify where the issue is or if it really is a hardware Dock issue. If both are not Lite then did you try each different cable and dock to insure something isn't at fault.
