Topic: Can i safely upgrade Zelda BOTW? (no spoilers pls :) )

Hello

i started the game very recently and saw that an update is available.
I'm only playing in portable mode and everything has been great so far.
That's why i am a bit reluctant to install the patch^^

Can i safely go ahead and download it? are there any reports of problem or downgrades (i heard that the performance got better but since i'm playing handled the game worked great for me and i would be a bit sad if this performance improvement would come with visual compromise^^ )?
i'm a bit worried of crashs or something^^ or maybe lowering difficulty (which i wouldn't want).

Please no spoilers

Thank you

You should. Technical improvements with patch are really consistent and there are no problems, of any kind

Digital Foundry say there has been no decrease in visual quality, the performance has been improved under the hood it seems which didn't compromise on visual quality, great news.

Don't worry, if anything major happens with any of these updates, you can bet people will talk about it.

No if it was perfect they would patch the game to run at the Switch's maximum supported 60 frames per second instead of that paltry 30 fps. They also would have allowed you to install the patch update to the game cartridge it's self if the game was perfect. They make you install the patch to your console or memory card instead which isn't as ideal.

thank you for your answer

it's just that before the 1.1.1 patch, i had noticed some stutters here and there, then since this patch (1.1.1) i 've had literally 0 stutter! not even one! I don't play a lot (like 30 minutes every 2 day) though^^

So i'm a bit afraid to download patch 1.2^^

they changed the Shrine music. made it worse actually.

Hm looking around, it seems about two instrument tracks are now missing from the song (leaving pretty much just the remixed version of the "there is a chest in this room" jingle from the gameboy games.)

I wonder if that was intentional or an accident.
