For me this is mostly between online matches, I’ll have Switch lite or some other console playing a very pausable game. Only live so long so can’t waste that lobby time, lol
While I don't have an NSO subscription, I will sometimes use two Switches at the same time, or otherwise play an undemanding game with one while in the middle of something else.
I've done that with Dynamax Adventures in the Pokémon Sword/Shield expansion (which is incredibly sluggish even with battle animations turned off!), and just tonight, I've been mining for Mysterious Shards in Brilliant Diamond while watching TV and while in the middle of editing a video of a lecture, neither of which require my constant attention.
There are a few games I've bought specifically for the purpose of being able to play them while having late night snacks and such, though some are also great for couch multiplayer with friends/family, particularly those based on game shows. The Phoenix Wright trilogy is also great for playing during snacks.
Speaking of which, I made a new profile on my Switch Lite to get decent prices on turnips (which I had never done before). I settled for about 271 or so bells (after paying 102 for them). I should have gone higher. I made about 15 million in profit.
I’ll try again next week and then I’ll never have to bother to grind for bells again.
I’m also considering grabbing the DLC (as much as I resent it and how stupidly expensive it is), but I couldn’t justify it if I also had to grind for over an hour every day.
