What activities do you do when visiting your friends' islands? My friends and I have mostly used it for watering flowers, item swapping, giving away items we don't need, collecting stars, and Celeste DIYs. Is there more to do? I'm still enjoying the game but friends are getting bored

I have a couple questions about the island rating. Does there have to be a good mix of store, Nook Miles, and DIY furniture, or does only the total amount count regardless of where it came from? And what is considered "clutter?" I've picked up all the things that don't belong, but my son has set up some displays around town like a fish model section and a towel wrap by our swimming pool that are cool, but do I have to pick those up, too?

I invited someone to my island before in order for them to take a villager back with them, but it didn't work. I suspect they didn't actually have a vacancy. Is it only required that you have a vacancy? If so, is taking a villager back with you a sure thing?

@edhe Yes, you can get other peoples villagers once they’re sweeping up their house moving out. But you can only do that if you have an open plot. Something that many people find annoying about this way of getting villagers, however, is that if the person gifted that villager something (eg. fish, clothing, ect.), that villager will still be gifted that same stuff when they come to your island.

I thought as much. I've never used that method myself though - I rely on island tours for my new villagers. I wondered whether inviting a villager can fail in some circumstances like they can at the campsite. Although, with the campsite, you can continue to talk to a camper, some seem more eager to live with you than others. I think it was Static who kept teasing me with card games (which I kept losing), while another asked to move in as soon as I asked.

Starting to get a bit nervous as my projected prices are dropping little by little each time I plug in how much my turnips are going for. I hate the stress of it all 😩

Anyone who uses Turnip Calculator and/or Turnip Prophet......which one has been more accurate for you? Ive been using both for awhile, but this week they are each giving me very different predictions, so I am just curious to know if there is one more accurate than the other typically.

Static moved out yesterday, and now I discover his birthday was just over a week away! I'm missing birthdays left and right here. Alphonse moved in last month, just after his birthday as well.
My search for a new islander didn't last long though - on my first journey, I ran into Velma - a villager I remember from my New Leaf town, so I just had to invite her to stay.

I had always used Turnip Prophet. I hadn't needed to track my turnips since I reached 14mil (I never got a large spike - I just bought loads of turnips), but recently I have been tracking them again just for this week, and it seems I'm set on a decreasing trend too. I'm using a phone app, which draws from the turnip prophet database.
As far as I was aware, the two services should use the same data - I'm confused as to why they would offer you different predictions.
