Topic: Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Well, it's been several months since the release of New Horizons, and I still only have cherries, oranges, and coconuts. Did Nintendo really make so that you can't get all the fruit without going online and picking it from other people's islands? I was really hoping it would be like past games where the fruit would show up eventually one way or another. I mean, Leif would be the perfect character to sell fruit and flowers that the player doesn't otherwise have access to.

Only reason it bothers me is because there are certain crafting items that are impossible to make if you don't have access to all the fruit or flower varieties.

So sorry I forgot to answer this, I had such a busy weekend and it was Father's Day in the UK I changed my forum name from Pink_Yoshi but I didn't restart my island, I think I'd have horrors if I had to restart now!

Glad you're doing well - I'm so tired all the time I could just go to sleep! We will have to try to link up online sometime as i still have your DIY, or I could just send it to Aaron or Ben_AV and get them to pass onto you for me until we can visit in game!

@Sugarkist I already have the diy now (@FattyWhale_42 sent one to me, then I ended up getting one in my bottle on the beach the next day lol) but I appreciate it! (: I am not always on the same times anymore since being back to work, but I am sure we will both be on at the same time eventually! Are we at least Switch friends? Sorry my brain is so foggy and having a hard time keeping track of everything!! 😭

The only way I know of getting non-native fruit and flowers is online. I finally caved and took that route.

That's why I find the mystery islands so disappointing. There should be at least the opportunity to find non-native items. Instead it's usually just the same 3 or 4 islands over and over ad nauseum.

Aw no, apologies for not getting the DIY over to you quicker. I'd have mailed it to you if I'd been able to. At least you have it now.

I'm not getting as much time now I'm in work for 2 days a week, I'm still working from home the other 3 days but to be honest I've been on burn out on AC the last few days or so, consequently I've not been playing it as often.

Yes we are Switch friends - we'll have to arrange some time to visit each other so its easy to send gifts and wanted items to each other

I don't have an online subscription, so that's not an option for me.

I agree with you about mystery islands. This could have been a really cool feature to add some variety to the game, but seeing "your island, only smaller" time and time again quickly lost its charm. I've heard mixed reports that you can eventually find all fruits and flowers through mystery islands, but if it's true, the chances are extremely low.

@BrittGOAL14 i highly recommend asking @FattyWhale_42 to help you out catching saddled bichir. He has caught many on his island and helped me to find 1 on mine (I think he released one of his in my rivers and then told me where it was) (:

And size 4's aren't worth getting until at least 4pm (Arowana), but after 9pm (Snapping Turtle, Saddled Bichir), is when you get the best fish (first 7 I caught after 9 last night were: Saddled Bichir, Saddled Bichir, Snapping Turtle, Great White, Arowana, Arapaima, and Hammerhead... then a bunch of Black Bass xD).
