@Gret8888@Munson Have you gotten any Char or Cherry salmon? Golden trout and those other 2 can only be caught in elevated rivers.
My son fishes on the top cliff of our island. He had got quite a few cherry salmon and char. He hasn’t had any luck with the golden trout. I’ve been making as much bait as I can and giving it to him. He is right around the 250 bait mark with no luck.
Luckily for me I have caught at least one of every fish and bug to this point.
I'm in the process of completing the master cataloging area, but I still need a lot of items that I only have available to order through the catalog (and I'm limited to only 5 a day).
So since most of you haven't been ordering things through me, I wanted to know if I could send you the things I needed (and you could either mail them back to me, or drop them off), so I could get 2 more items added, per person, per day.

From the start, I have never seen fish around my pier, and I rarely saw fish in the upper tier of my rivers. My niece and nephew are always crushing the fish on their islands without using bait. One evening, my niece caught 15 Coelacanths, if I wasn’t sitting there watching her catch them I wouldn’t have believed her. I caught one on my nephews island and a couple on a rainy Mystery Island. Even when I use bait off my pier, I catch horse mackerel and a lot of simple common fish. It’s very frustrating for me to be honest. I’ve been fishing for the darn barrel eye all month and all I get is horse mackerel. My niece came to my island the beginning of May, and she caught the damn barrel eye!! 😩

Sorry, I guess I didn’t completely read your message, didn’t see the part about you sending me two items and me sending them back to complete your cataloging maze.
Duh! I understand now! I wish I knew what items you needed so you didn’t have to purchase all of them on your own. I may have them just sitting in storage and to be honest, I really need to thin my storage out. If I had what you are ordering I’d just give the items to you. Is it still anything in bold print on the list?

Me, my wife and my youngest son all play on the same island. My wife has the best luck out of all of us. She probably catches 10 oarfish to my 1. She gets a lot of the good mystery islands. She has caught many more tarantula/scorpions than I have. My son has the worst luck. He rarely catches anything better than a red snapper. The only thing I have going for me is I usually catch the new fish first.
Hey all, okay so I’m such a newbie! Yesterday I got the museum! OMG it’s beautiful and with the things I’ve collected it’s just lovely.
So I have a couple of questions.
If I have a friend online how do I actually visit their island, do I have to have a dodo code and similarly how do I allow a friend over too?
Does visiting a friends island use my nook ticket?
Any essentials tips you’d like to share? 😊
I’m doing most of what I think a daily essentials be good to hear yours.

Hi,
You add a friend by requesting them on the Switch. Enter their Switch code then request them. Once they accept they should be able to visit your island as long as you tell Wilbur the Dodo you want to invite all friends. Once on your island, send them a “best friend request” using the app on your “Nook phone.” You don’t have to make everyone a best friend. The difference between a friend and a best friend is best friends can use their shovel on your island to dig up flowers, so just be sure it’s a person you can trust not to wreak havoc on your island. Once someone has visited your island or you theirs, you will then be able to send each other items by attaching them via the postcards in your airport.
Nook miles tickets are strictly used for visiting Mystery Islands.
Donate the first of every new fossil, fish and bug to your museum. You can check the “Critterpedia” app on your Nook phone to see which bugs and fish you’ve caught and donated to your museum.
There is so much to this game, relax and have fun with it. We are all here to help so just ask. Not to mention you can google everything you need to know about this game, it’s crazy popular.

@Sugarkist i know the feeling about moving the houses, i am doing it for the second time. It's expensive, hoping each week to make a profit on stalk market in order to change things up. I'm being more patient this time around, trying to think a few steps ahead and only committing to what i feel happy with. The island is so big, no idea how i am going to fill it all. How many cafes / restaurants can one island have? I've been watching those island tours on YT for inspiration, most though seem to have been achieved through time travel.

I’ve moved my villagers houses, my house and the three buildingsat least three times each!
My advice, don’t be in a hurry to move everything yet. Play for a while, get to know the lay of the land and then decide. What sucks too is if you place a building or house off a space or two that you intended, you have to pay another 50;000 bells to move it to a completely different area, and then pay another 50;000 bells to move it back to where you originally intended because it won’t let you move a building anywhere in the vicinity of the already placed building, even if it is the one you need to move only one or two spots to the L or R. “Nook the Crooks” thought of everything! Lol
