@Shane17 i started last night and undid all of it this morning as i was unhappy with it. Started terraforming again today and so far i am happy with results, i am figuring out how I want the river to flow through my island, also trying to give houses more space and visibility (building more cliffs). I have managed to keep my large flower garden where it is which I am very happy about, but pretty much everything else will move. I am using the tiles to layout the paths and locations for each building and making changes where needed before committing to any bells to move them. Lots of work and time consuming but motivating too.
@GoldenBoy@Ronniego You guys probably know this already but I'll say it just in case you don't.
When terraforming you want to move in a checkered-like pattern. If the cliff was to the north of me and I was removing the south-most row of cliff and I was going in a straight line west to east, each block of cliff would take 2 hits to remove because the 1st hit would create an angled part and the 2nd hit would remove it.
If you were to dig through the 2nd to south-most cliff row, each block of cliff would only take 1 hit to remove and any angled cliffs that are dependant on the row of cliffs you are removing would also be removed.
Maybe that isn't the best description but do you understand what I'm talking about?
Something else interesting you can do with terraforming cliffs is that if you make a 3x3 area then round the corners you can still fit a 2x2 furniture item there.
Hey new poster here. I got this game for my daughter but installed it in my switch as well. I had never played an Animal Crossing and was only expecting to play it for a few hours to get the feel for it in case my daughter had questions about what to do. A month later and I am hooked, I am enjoying island life and the casual feel of the game. I love tracking my turnip prices and visiting mystery islands for new stuff. I am not sure if I have much to share as far as recipes but i will post if I can anything cool.
I am also on a 50% large spike 50% decreasing patter for my turnips this week. I will post here if it looks like I am on the large spike pattern. If I get a decreasing patter would anyone allow me to sell on their island? Also since me and my daughter are sharing a copy of the digital game we can’t visit each other’s islands. Does anyone know any work around so I can send her mail? I have been buying items at the shop for her and saving bells but can’t get them to her since we can’t play at the same time. Thanks for posting so many tips here and enjoy your island walk this morning.
@StoneyUSMC Welcome.
There are a few others here with a good chance of a large spike this week (not me sadly as I had one last week) so fingers crossed at least someone gets a good price.
I can't think of any workaround to that off the top of my head unfortunately. You can send mail to players on your friend list but adding them to your in-game friend list requires playing with each other at least once which you obviously can't do with one copy of the game. Unless you know someone else you could borrow a physical copy off or something.
Does anyone know if there is a pattern or something to the gold ores spawning from rocks? Do they come every so many days, every so many hits, or is it random? I'm just wondering like if I get one then I don't have to bother checking the rocks (other than the money rock) for awhile because it will be impossible to get one.
