for a while now i have had this niggle in the back of my mind about my island layout. I just don't like it. I have stayed pretty true to original layout (west and south outlets). I'm now wondering if a game reset is a better option than trying to terraform the entire thing? I have invested a lot of time, collected all fossils, heap of furniture and recipes, is it worth throwing that all away for a better layout? Had i known at the start of the game what was to come I would have done things differently. Curious to hear your opinions.
@jamesnl I recommend that if you wish to restart, you should move all buildings that you can to the beach and flatten the land and remove the rivers. I see no benefit from starting the whole game again. That’s just my opinion.
Terraform the land entirely leaving space for inclines, bridges and buildings. That’s how I would do it if I started again. The reason for this is that I kept trying to work with the land as it was given to me. I imposed a sense of reality where I had to work with the land as it was. By having a blank slate you aren’t influenced by what is there.

@jamesnl For me I couldn't imagine restarting now, way too much lost. Only do it if you really, really don't like how the unmovable things are positioned (community centre, airport, river mouth locations, beaches) otherwise, while a bit tedious, taking the time to move everything is should still be way easier than starting from scratch.
@meeto_1@BenAV I am reluctant to restart, i have an idea for what i want to do, it's gonna take a lot of time terraforming. I will likely have to move every building, flower and tree.....gonna give it a go and see how far I can get.
@jamesnl if you need help moving flowers and trees and leaving them at the beach I’m happy to help out. My day rate is watering my flowers (joking). But seriously, I don’t mind to lend a hand.
@jamesnl Exactly the same as you, hate my island layout, going to take ages to sort it out, but aiming to do a little bit at a time over starting all over
Lol 88 bells for me today. Mine are always terrible. I was wondering if turnip prices reflect the star rating of an island? I've never got above 200 for my turnips and I'm only a 3 star rated island. I'll find it interesting if my prices go up when my star rating does.
