@cooldude99 only the black rose directly 1 square in front of you will receive the chance to produce a gold rose when its watered. That means you have to water them individually.

After they have been watered once with the gold can you only have to use a regular can daily until they produce a gold rose. After that you will have to use the gold can again. If 5 people come to your island and water your flowers with a regular can after you have watered them with the gold they have a 60% chance of reproducing. Also, it helps to keep the roses apart so they aren’t touching. You want them to produce golds asexually. Touching flowers will attempt to cross breed first.

I wasn't all that interested in Animal Crossing at first but decided to try it in the end and now am really enjoying it. Only just got a house and museum so miles behind most people probably

That video is pretty good. I’m on board for all of those changes. The dodo app made me laugh. So many times I forget to close the gate after visitors. And the indicator app so that you know what square you are going to terraform 😻

@Magonigal you are not alone. I saw the announcement trailer and thought “great for AC fans plus it will sell Switches so great for Nintendo, but not for me” saw the direct just before launch and pre ordered and now I’m 330hrs deep into it. lol.

@Magonigal Actually, we are on similar spots. Today the museum will be ready along with 3 other houses from the villagers I invited. I did have an advantage though, since I asked a friend to make me a ladder and a vaulting pole as well as a couple different fruits to plant.

Edit: Only one house is ready. I guess that since this is my first villager from the outside, only one will arrive until Resident services is upgraded. The museum isn't ready either.
