@cooldude99 very much a work in progress at the moment. I tore up everything that was there before and started anew. A lot of time spent on flowers as you saw. All my bells tied up in costs for moving buildings and bugs in storage (: I did splash the cash on the frog umbrella which might be my fave thing in the game so far (: Canberra is never leaving my island if i have any say in it (:

@jamesnl I love your island, you’re so much more experienced in hybrids than me xD I’m almost finished my big makeover of my island, all that’s left to do is a board walk, zen garden and the entrance to my house! It does cost A LOT of money to move every building, though.

@jamesnl I can see why you don’t want Canberra to ever leave, she’s great! I have a koala moving in tomorrow, so hopefully they’re house is something like Canberra’s...

i am going mystery island hopping today with hopes of recruting a new villager after Peanut moved out. On the lookout for cranky or snooty villager types (i read that you get diff diy recipes based on villager type, is that true?). Which villager(s) would you recommend? So far i have seen Chadder (smug) and Zucker (lazy).

@jamesnl I usually try to maintain all 8 persoanlity types and get extras of the type that I want to leave the island eventually so that their personality type will not be lost.

@jamesnl obviously villagers like Raymond would be a no brainer, but I really like fauna. She’s on my island, and even though she has a normal personality, she’s a ray of sunshine in these times 🤣 but if you come across Raymond, you should get him, EVERYONE wants him, people would be so jealous xD

@cooldude99, @Lard_Bucket I have 3 normal types and 2 peppy types on my island still. hoping one of the normal types offers to move out. Right now the smug house is filled by Kyle, the music loving wolf who calls me Alpha (: I have Marina (normal type) who seems to be very popular too, certainly watching her sing and dance to KK Bubblegum and KK Metal is just the best thing. I should't be too greedy and have Raymond as well (;

One of my villagers is crafting Natural garden chair. Anyone interested?

I've got a question about the neighbours on your own islands, i know they occasionally give you a Diy recipe but wondered if you're able to get the same furniture they have, thanks

@Jen10 I have not had any of my villagers give me furniture that was inside their home. You can get 3 diy recipe a day by talking to villagers when they are crafting but I believe the diy recipe is random.

@Lard_Bucket oh i didn't realise you can get 3 per day, i assumed it was only once lol, i'll have to visit them more often lol. It's a shame you can't get some of the same furniture as some of it looks fab lol Thanks so much, i'm enjoying the game but feel i have lots to learn lol

@Lard_Bucket Peanut gave me a white cute music player (which is exactly what I wanted) this morning and when I went into her house she had no music playing at all so I guess she did give me her own one rather than just a random one out of nowhere.

@Jen10 Depending on when you start playing/the villagers wake up, any villager currently inside their home can be crafting. Only 1 can be crafting at a time and the time that they are crafting can vary greatly. Usually when 1 stops crafting another will start but there are exceptions.
For starters, you may just want to run around to all the houses every time the hour changes to see if someone started/stopped crafting.

Same here, I thought there was only 1 a day as well! You can learn so much from these forums!

@BenAV Interesting, I guess normal furniture can be given but not furniture crafted with DIY. Most of my villagers have their houses filled with craftable furniture.
