@Gret8888 I tried to setup a testing area to see if my purple roses had a dominat white or yellow gene. Only 1 created a new flower last night. If i remember correctly, you said that yellow x purple = yellow if the purple can create the special red for blue.
I went on at least 10 mystery tours but did not see any orange roses x_x
@Jen10 Mystery tours are completely random but the fruit is limited to your native fruit, coconuts, and 1 other fruit type. trading is required to get the other 3 fruit types. Flowers behave in a similar way, you'll find your native flower (was up on the cliffs) and 1 other type of flower. Eventually it may be possible to buy all the flower seeds from the shop because it seems to slowly rotate the selection and Leif can sell more flowers seeds as well but visiting another town and buying their seeds is suggested.

@Jen10 If your resident services building is upgraded special characters can visit like Leif. Leif is a sloth that sells shurbs/bushes and flower seeds.
@Lard_Bucket, oh i don't think mine's upgraded yet, do i have to pay to do that or is it a time scale thing? My Museum's just upgraded to take Art. I'm a real newbie to the game lol & have only been playing it for a few weeks ( when my 5 month old puppy is asleep lol )
