Topic: Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Through having it explained to me I've realised I can buy things with my Nook Miles and then purchase them from the catalogue (such as street lamps etc) I never knew this, I was thinking I had to keep going back to buy them one at a time via Nook Miles. I feel very stupid now!

@Rosamea Then I'm not mistaken. It's going to take a while if all of them can be a fake though.

@Octane I know right but I think someone said earlier that you should buy some fake too cause you can get nook miles

@jamesnl I just saw this and can head there soon before heading to my boss' island she wants me to come to. (: I may have a few imperial items I believe that I will bring with me for you to catalog!

Like popping in and out of this game,be nice to be on the island at the moment.

@Pink_Yoshi Unfortunately the Miles stuff can't be purchased with Bells from the catalogue. You can order five per day (on top of your five catalogue items) so you can get quite a few but still gotta use Miles.

@Octane only 1 of the 4 that Redd was selling was not a fake for me today. I have seen videos on youtube showing the differences between the real and the fakes and they are hard to spot. The one i bought today, I think i looked at it 4 of 5 times before convincing myself it was not a fake. Granted i haven't presented it to Blathers yet for examination haha.

Does anyone know a trick to get to the rare islands every time i spend a nook ticket i get sent to the same islands..

Oh ok, thanks for clearing that one up too. Thank goodness for these forums as there is loads of things I never knew about this game and you guys are keeping me right! I'll have to wait a short while for more street lamps then as I'm spending my Nook miles on the terraforming things now, I'm enjoying moving it and making it look better I did get some ideas from people's islands on YouTube and am adapting those ideas to make my own

I don't think so. In New Leaf, one piece of art (painting or sculpture) was always genuine and the other three were fakes. I never encountered a situation where all four offerings were forgeries. I would be very surprised if New Horizons changed this.

@Octane @Rosamea Are you using some sort of online guide or something telling you they are all fake? Because I am trying to just figure it out myself based on what I know about the art, and I thought they were all fake, too. Eventually I just picked the one I thought was most likely to be real, and I was right! There have always been 1 real and 3 fake, but I guess this game could be doing it differently. It does with the other visitors, after all.

@Pink_Yoshi What colour streetlamps do you have on your island? I get brown ones but ended up wanting white ones so I needed to trade like 40 of them with someone who had white, haha. Eventually got more than I needed.
