@edhe wait! If you don’t want them to go just tell them to stay. They randomly come up with this option from time to time. They are completely happy when you ask them to stay

@BrittGOAL14 I have one purple from breeding special island black tulips together (just started focusing on breeding) Tulips are native to me and one of the Nook island tours gives me hybrid tulip islands consisting of pink, black and orange. Breeding these particular black tulips will breed purple tulips with a higher success rate than breeding your own black tulips from scratch.

@jamesnl I won't be on until later on this afternoon/early evening (it is almost 2pm here currently). It is actually really nice out where I'm from for once so need to get some yardwork done and take the pups on a walk! Will let you know once I'm on and can open my gate for you (:

Just make sure you have them planted in an X pattern, leaving one space between each and around the outside (not near a wall, tree, etc. having visitors water them for you increases the chance of purple. If they spawn a black, rotate it in. And if it rains, you should definitely begin to see purple.
Don’t mix them in with black tulips you didn’t get from the island. Good luck. Sounds like you will be in a sea of purple sooner than later. Also, plant all the island hybrid orange the same way in a separate area. Double your chances of getting purples.

@edhe Thank you for the offer! I would have been so happy and wanted her, but by now I have gotten Freya and Audie both in my island, and I already have Apollo as my cranky villager
Nonetheless thank you very much for the offer though! Fang is really adorable.
@BrittGOAL14
Yes to both. Pansies are a b’/%h! Tulips of all colors will over run your island, especially after it rains. You have to keep some and sell or give some away just to keep up. I’m currently experimenting with oranges bread from seeds and blues spawn from seeds which took a very very long time to get. If I don’t see anything spawn in two day I rotate a few Of the flowers just to see if it makes a difference. I’ve had success breeding hybrids by doing that. PRAY FOR RAIN! In this AC, the flowers are capable of self breeding.
I had a gold pop up next to a black that I never even watered, however it did rain for two days. It’s crazy!

The MI blue pansies will breed purple at a much higher percentage than a blue that spawned from white seeds. And the hybrid blue windflowers will also spawn blue or purple windflowers. When it’s a blue, I simply rotate it into the blue pattern it spawned from. They don’t spawn rapidly, but the purples will come

From what I’m experiencing tulips and lilies will self breed and multiply out of control. Also, Red and white mums will pop up everywhere. I got rid of all my white , yellow and red mums. I was overrun with tulips, I must have sold and given away approx 200+ flowers. I destroyed my entire island over the past two days. I couldn’t stand looking at it anymore. I thinned out the amount of flowers I knew I could manage, and now I’m onto a new project.
Obsessing over flower colors can seriously ruin a players love for the game. I suggest you make your flower plots, water them daily and if it happens it happens. There is so much more to the game, but I get it, I feel so happy when that one color you’ve been wanting for so long just pops up.

@Lard_Bucket You’d think it was a starter! I just recently got that one from a friend. Thanks for posting, though!
@Gret8888 Yeah, the mums are starting to take over but I’m happy enough with the lilies sprouting off in red/pink. Getting excited (or disappointed) about new colors is definitely part of the experience.
