@Lard_Bucket I might grab the T.Rex skull for myself and Ammonite, Brachio skull and Plesio tail for a friend who needs them, if that's okay?

I've finally got K.K. Slider coming to visit tomorrow, I can't believe I got a 3 star rating this morning when I checked as my island is so bad compared to other people's (mustn't take much to get a 3 star rating! lol) but I'm really glad that I've done it as getting terraforming is really going to open the game up for me now.

I'm going to move my campsite but do you guys recommend I do that once terraforming is unlocked tomorrow?

BenAV

@Pink_Yoshi Congrats.
I guess only move it now if you're sure of the new placement or if it's really in the way of where you want to terraform. You don't want to have to spend the Bells to move it twice if you can avoid it.

@Pink_Yoshi Congratulations
How much or how little you terraform is completely up to you. Personally, I only terraform small areas here and there. It is much easier to place bridges and ramps where you want them if you can tweak the river/cliff.

@jamesnl Nice one. I've now got two left myself, but this is the first one I've gotten from anyone else so have done okay just collecting them randomly.

Good day,

I terraformed to create a waterfall that leads into a small lake (more like a pond) and expected to see fish in it, but it's been over a week and I've yet to see any fish at all. Has anyone seen fish in ponds or lakes that they added in with terraforming?

Does anyone have a Jukebox for sale or trade?

Does anyone have any of the Cute series of furnishings in the White/Pink variation for sale or trade?

Does anyone know if the Regal and Princess series are in this game? If yes, does anyone have any pieces for sale or trade?

If you have a couple of spare minutes to read, please review my post of the official Nintendo forums and let me know if you agree or disagree. Here's the link: https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/social/questions...

Thank you for your help,
Shepherd's Aunt Linda

I’d be happy to come help you. But, you have to keep in mind cross breeding in hopes of obtaining rare hybrids is a L-O-N-G process, patience and time are necessities, otherwise you will feel nothing but frustration. Are you online now?

@ShepherdFBC I looked into fish spawn mechanics a bit a while back. In order for fish to spawn it seems that at least a 3x3 grid is required. If you round the corners that it a half grid. If a waterfall is in any way connected to water it is defined as a River even if it does not lead to the sea or looks like a lake/pond. Something else important about fish spawning is the grid. If you look at your map you'll see a grid that honestly doesnt seem to be used for anything. I believe that only 1 fish can spawn per grid but there also seems to be an additional requirement in distance because it does not seem possible to see more than 1 fish shadows in a single screen with standard view angle. My smallest pond that can spawn fish is...
HXXXH
XXXXX
HXXXH
(H = rounded)

So, I’ve been playing for a couple of days and I’m floored, really enjoying it.

I wasn’t even going to get the game, last AC I played was Wild World, back in school. So I wasn’t excited for New Horizons, figured I’d never have time for that. And then obviously, given the current situation I currently have nothing but free time, all my work has been cancelled, and then I saw all the amazing things people were doing in the game and it got me more excited than any trailer did.

My friend code is 7878-9122-1502. I’ll keep my gates open as much as possible if anyone wants to visit my island fruit is cherries. I’m only a couple of days in, so I’ve got a lot of catching up to do with people. But I feel I like it progresses much quicker than I expected?

Hi. Regarding terraforming, This is new for all of us, however I’m sure some players have a much better understanding of ir than I, however, I can tell you my experience, which was the same as yours. I increased the width of my upper river to creat a cool waterfall. I honestly rarely saw fish in my upper river anyway. Then I created a tiered waterfall that eventually opened up into another waterfall and curved around to my house which I built up high, needed two brick stairs to reach the front door. So I noticed I still wasn’t seeing the river fish spawning on the upper level. Wouldn’t you know, the fish began spawning in the narrow waters directly outside my front door! As much fun terraforming can be, you are asking excellent questions that I would love to know the answers to myself. By messing with the river width and shape, it may look awesome, but it could seriously kill our chances of ever seeing fish in it. I thought the explanation given to you by Lard Bucket (I’m sorry, I can’t even type his username without laughing out loud) sounded like he researched it in depth and makes complete sense to me now that I’ve experienced negative effects of messing with rivers and ponds.

Pond: a pond is just that, a pond. It’s standing water, once you add a waterfall, it’s no longer a pond, it’s now a river. I’ve changed my pond shape and areas on my island three times. My niece (environmental engineer) specializing in rivers and ponds of all things, figured out the smallest size and shape a pond could possibly be in this game and still spawn fish. The size LB diagramed in his response, is close to being exactly what my niece figured as well.

CUTE SERIES: I *have numerous items from the CUTE series listed below available in my catalog. The BLUE series I received shooting balloons, except for the DIY table. I found the YELLOW DIY table in my recycling bin and use it for crafting. You are welcome to all the blue I have, otherwise I plan on donating them to Aaron on Spinach. He introduced me to cataloging, which is where I obtained all of the CUTE red, white and yellow items in my catalog. I’d be happy to send you any items you need. Just let me know.

BLUE

RED

SKY BLUE

Regal & Princess: I don’t know what furniture REDD is going to be selling besides the works of art for the museum. I’m curious to find out too.

JUKEBOX: I can send you a jukebox.

My friend code for the Switch is below, send me a FR and we can get you what you need.

Hope this long winded message helps you! Haha
