Does anyone now why my game isn’t getting the update? It’s the 23rd, 7:22 am and there has been no sign of the update. Do I have to do something?

@cooldude99 If you had exited the game completely i won't think you would have noticed it. It was very small/short. I had the game open when I put my system in sleep so when I went to play again it prompted me about the update because it had to close the game.

@Lard_Bucket I also have the game open in sleep mode, and this morning it’s giving me no info about a museum expansion, Jolly Redd, Leif and Earth Day. Is it just not out yet?

@cooldude99 Oh, right... time zones. It's 5:33PM on the 22nd for me.

What I was noticing may have been a pre-patch patch or something along those lines. lol

@Lard_Bucket so will the update come out in your 23rd for the whole world?

@Silly_G I completely forgotten about that, I am hunting ( bottle and villager from my island and my lil girl's ) the iron wood bench for the water fountain area. Thanks for mentioning it!

@cooldude99 When the game first released on 3/20 I was able to start playing around 3AM in my time zone. Maybe the worldwide update is in 9 hours?

@Lard_Bucket if you’re right, that sucks. I could barley sleep last night cause I was so excited for the update... I now I might have to wait till late afternoon... oh well

@cooldude99 It would be nice we everyone got the update at 5am on the 23rd for their time zone but then people would be able to trade the new items with players that hadn't gotten the update yet... right? Timezones are hard xD

Does anyone have Celeste on their island?

My guess is that the update will go live when the eShop is updated tonight.

It updates at midnight on Friday (Thursday night) in Sydney. I'm not sure whether the eShop is updated at the same time globally (though the eShop does get updated incrementally during the course of the week anyway).

@Silly_G hmm.. so for people in Australia it’ll come out on the 24th?

@Silly_G Japan's update is early Thursday morning and America's Friday evening (our time).

@BenAV what about Australia? When are we getting the update?

@cooldude99 I mean the eShop update, not Animal Crossing update. They're unlikely to be related at all.
(Our regular eShop update is currently 11pm AEST Thurday though for whatever that's worth)

@cooldude99 : In the easternmost parts of Australia, yes. Other states would be getting it on Thursday night due to time zone differences.

It's just speculation on my part. Hold your horses. The update will be ready when it's ready.
