@Xyphon22 14-20, I can’t remember. But I usually visit a minimum of 4 mystery islands a day. I was saving them for tools until I found out they break, too. Saving for furniture now.

@Mountain_Man That’ll be me tomorrow. Stacking on the beach will return. Excited to see how it looks since most of my friends are on the same timeline as I am!

@Pink_Yoshi You almost assuredly just have a descending pattern this week. There is a small chance they may go up tomorrow morning, but if not, you can either sell and cut your losses or try to find someone with good prices to visit. I have a descending one this week, too, but I was expecting it because I hadn't had one yet so I didn't buy very many. You almost never get two in a row, so I expect to make it up next week. That's the stalk market for you.
Urgh this is why I never usually bother with the turnips but I'm trying to make more bells at the moment. I might buy more next week and see if I get a better deal but honestly its not something I'm going to keep chasing as I find it a tad irritating!
How many gold nuggets have people found, and what are you making with them? I've only found four so far and haven't used any yet, and I have gotten a lot of golden recipes, but I don't really want to make any of those yet since I have no where near enough gold to make the set. I'm thinking of making the astrological things that Celeste has given since I got exactly enough Aries and Taurus fragments to make them.
@Pink_Yoshi Yeah, I like to do it because it's fun and adds a wrinkle to the game that you don't get in anything else. But I never buy a considerable amount (i.e. more than I can hold at one time) because I stick to what I have on my own island when I can, and that includes turnips, so there is always that chance of losing a fortune if you invested a fortune. But of the 4 (I think?) potential patterns the prices can go in, only 1 of them results in you losing money no matter what, so it's worth it even if you lose money occasionally.
anyone want to trade DIY recipes? i have 8 extra: steamer-basket set, giant teddy bear, bamboo noodle slide, armor shoes, pear bed, bamboo wand, bamboo-grove wall, and green leaf pile. had them laying out for visitors to take but isabelle told me i need “less items lying around” and those are my only items on the ground so need to move them.
I would recommend those with amiibo cards to scan at least once daily for a campsite visitor as they always make a DIY item request, and while it will not always be a new recipe (they don't give duplicates if you already know the recipe), they will give you the recipe if they request an item that you don't already know. You don't have to make the item for them either unless you want them to stay on your island.
Porygon did nothing wrong.
