@Anti-Matter I mean, if you have the Amiibo you want, you don't need to worry at all. But there's no realistic way to hunt for specific villagers. The best you can do is save up a bunch of mystery tour tickets, then place the first plot, and then go island after island until you find someone you like. And if you are too picky and don't select someone, you'll end up with a random person moving in.
@Heavyarms55
I mean like this.
If i just doing my daily chores by given 2 starter villagers without thinking about looking for the 3rd or 4th or 5th or next villagers, will my island still have 2 villagers only on the next day i play since i didn't do anything for inviting the next villager
or
my island will keep being invaded by random villagers each several days even i did nothing when i play the game on the next day (like ACNL) ?
I want to make sure if my island will stay clear from random villagers that i don't want to invite when i do my daily chores on ACNH.
Btw, i have made a list of villagers who will be on my 1st island, 2nd island and 3rd island (Gah...! 3 Nintendo Switch required, my money...! ) 😫
@Anti-Matter No, people cannot move in, if you haven't placed a spot for them. And you always get to choose where they will live. But once you choose a spot, if you don't fill it yourself, each day there is a chance someone random will fill it.
@Heavyarms55
Oh, glad to hear. 🙂
So i will not put a spot if i have no plan to find another villagers. My island will be just 2 villagers only (Jock and Uchi) when i play ACNH on the next day.
Actually i have 3 villager Amiibo card (Rosie, Goldie and Stitch from Amiibo Festival bundle) but i'm not looking for them as my villagers in my island.
Oh, question about villager from the campsite (not from Amiibo card scan).
When i have 10 villagers in my island and there is a villager inside the campsite, is the campsite villager will not affecting my island if i completely ignoring them and they will leave on the next day ?
Or their existence can ruin my whole island by randomly forcing one of my villager to move out when i completely did nothing, not even talk with the campsite villager ?
One of the best way I hear is by asking your friend to water your flowers, which apparently increase the breeding chance by 250%
what's a good pattern? is the x pattern the best...what i mean is one in the middle and one flower on each corner. this leaves one space around the middle flower also for hopefully a new flower breeding.
also, thanks for the guide by the way. It was a lot more simple than many of the others I have found.
@cooldude99 You need to make sure that there are no open 3x3 grids. I believe the easiest way is to place fence segments. If fence segments are placed 2 grids apart from each other it will prevent a rock from spawning.

If "F" is a fence segment or another hard object that will repell the shovel, the rock cannot spawn anywhere that is "X". It can take a bit of work visualizing the grids in some areas because there are half and diagonal grid. I could show you around my ridiculous fence layout on my island if that helps.
@jamesnl hmm...
I do still need A LOT more fossils, although I’m not sure which ones...
I’m not playing until my tomorrow ( I’ll probably play again in aprx. 9 hours), we can visit each other’s islands then.

@Anti-Matter No, you can invite the campsite villager to live on your island, but if your island is full, the villager will decide who to kick. (you have the option to change your mind if it's someone you want to keep) and it's locked who they try to replace. So even though you can back out, and run through the conversation again and invite them again, they'll still try to replace the same villager.
Compared to the Amiibo route where you have to invite them 3 days in a row, but then when they agree, you get to choose who leaves.
As far as I know, villagers wont leave without asking you, and the only way to get them to leave is to completely ignore them until they ask you if they should leave. It's actually really hard to get someone to leave without an Amiibo.
@Heavyarms55
Thanks for the information. 😀
Now here is very serious topic.
Lately, i found in my country Indonesia there were a lot of peoples sell fake Amiibo cards.
The fake Amiibo cards were actually custom design of actual Amiibo card but still can be used like legit Amiibo card.
The price of 1 card was insane cheap ($1 -2 each) but i knew i will not fall into that trap despite in my heart i still want some Amiibo cards.
What do you think about fake Amiibo cards?
Will my Switch get bricked for using fake Amiibo cards ?
@Heavyarms55 if you don't like who they picked, you can force close the game (at the dialogue they said who the villager they picked, don't continue) and restart it and redo the whole talking again.
They should change their choices then. I have done this method to change who the camper will kick (so Freya kicked out Agnes, Sylvia kicked out Frobert, Frita kicked out Sylvia and Antonio kicked out Simon)
