Topic: Resident Evil 6 to be exclusive launch title for Wii U?

I recently read the rumor about Nintendo's upcoming announcement on Sept. 13th. And then I read on German website "PC Games" that Capcom will reveal details for Resident Evil 6 on Tokyo Game Show 2 days later. I immedeately brought those two things together and hope that my dreams will come true: Resident Evil 6 exclusively for Wii U at launch!!! That will bring the Xbox & PS3 guys to buy the Wii U, believe me folks What do you say about that??

It's pretty unlikely that we'll hear too much about any Wii U games at this stage but that'd be pretty cool.
Can't put it past Capcom as they seem to be one of the very few third parties that have been pretty supportive of Nintendo's consoles in recent years.
...Still very unlikely though.

Exclusive? You mean exclusive like Resident Evil 4 was?

Yes, I mean as exclusive as RE4 was when it came out for the Gamecube
But at least it pushed the GC sales back then... and was the best reviewed version (until the Wii version)

At launch? Pff. Exclusivity is another matter, though. After all, RE4 was originally exclusive for the GCN, and I'm willing to bet the Wii U will sell more than that.

Let's dream for a while: If the Wii U should come as late as December 2012, RE6 could be ready... <3

Yeah, we don't really have much of an idea about when the Wii U will launch or anything else about it really so it's too early to say with this type of stuff.

It's a nice thought, but I don't see Capcom making RE6 exclusive for Wii U. With their focus pointing towards making money in recent times, it would be foolish to make RE6 (or any big-name title, for that matter) exclusive to Wii U, PS3/360 or any currently unknown systems when launching it on multiple platforms would allow them to generate higher sales for less work. It's a nice thought to hold onto, but seeing how Capcom has been acting lately, don't put money on RE6 being exclusive to any console, Nintendo or otherwise..

With all that exclusivity I meant in general that it could be exclusive at Wii U launch, but later on it's clear that Capcom will release it for other platforms as well...

if it does happen i would be happy though it better not be gimicky ,also Okami would be nice imagine it on wii u

I doubt it, I know its a nice thought, but Capcom is one of the biggest moneywhores (aside from activision). They will obviously put it on the most consoles, because it will get them the most money. If its more like 5, and less like what revelations is turning out to be, I couldn't care less. Revelations looks amazing, and 5 was awful

The Final Fantasy games were exclusive to the Super NES, even though the Genesis released earlier. Mega Man X was exclusive to the Super NES. Look at all the exclusive games the PS1 got over the N64 and Saturn.

Third party companies make exclusive games because they get paid by the platform holders. If Nintendo paid Capcom enough money, they would definitely bring RE6 to the Wii U first.

Doubt it. Might be a timed exclusive, but Capcom is gonna port the shit out of it until it's as milked out as a dead koala.

Exactly @kkslder5552000, RE4 is the greatest entry in the entire series so far and the Wii version is the most definitive and advanced. Why would you even want RE5, when we already have RE4?
I believe RE6 will be released for WiiU first anyways, since the PS4 and X-Box 720 will be following it's arrival.
