@NESlover85 I actually JUST got my order to go through. So they're apparently still in stock? Wouldn't surprise me if the "out of stock" message was yet another error on their website.
@NESlover85, yeah. Nintendo screwed the pooch on this one. They made a lot of money, I'm sure, so I'm guessing they're satisfied. But holy wow, I don't feel it's much of an exaggeration to speculate that they've managed to alienate or to upset a portion of their fanbase customer base in one way or another. Lots of questionable decisions, all of which suggest that this 'celebration' was more of an opportunistic padder of their bottom line or a test-run for future offers - and not actually any real 'celebration' of the source material. (Yes, I acknowledge that Nintendo has a 'right' to do that and that they're in this business to make money. Neither of those is my point, and they could still have made boatloads of money - or maybe even more money - if they'd better communicated and not leaned quite so heavily into FOMO as a sales driver. Nobody at me about these points, please.)
They advertised the pin set quite a bit on some big name websites. To have such a limited quantity is like a slap in the face. They certainly aren't going to win over new customers with such practices.

@Northwind yup I am, and apologies that i complained before checking to see if it's been mentioned. I just wanted to complain so badly lol. Something does seem fishy about the whole thing. I use to get physical rewards from club nintendo back in the day and there was never a shipping fee. And i agree 100% about the shipping tax.

@Darkaddict19 admittedly I didn't put much effort into it. I tried while I was on break at work then tried again once I got home. $5 isn't such a big deal for something you really want.

@Losermagnet It keeps telling me the code is invalid, so your suspicion of it being account locked seems correct. Thanks for giving me a chance to try anyways. It was worth a shot.
Yeah, I tried tonight and it worked. Like I thought, just give it time to die down from all the people that think they have to do it right away or never. I guess you never know, but considering that one of the missions cannot even be credited for another week made me assume that there would be plenty of time to order, and for at least one day it seems I was right. Now we just wait and see if everyone who ordered actually gets them.
