@antdickens Well, I obviously don't have an answer to the how, but every once in a while, it happens to certain threads. I click on the most recent comment in the widget, as you call it, and regardless of me doing so, it still makes me go to the first page every time. I've tried emptying my cache, removing cookies etc. etc. but seeing as all of the other threads link through as supposed to, I also didn't really expect that to work in the first place, but I did it anyway, because it can't hurt to try, right?
Anyway, here's the most recent thread that I have this very issue with, so perhaps that'll help you find out what's going on here: Topic: Turok 64 on switch?

@ThanosReXXX Okay, I wonder if it's to do with the reply count. The panel on the homepage is cached for a few minutes at a time, so I guess if you clicked a topic with 50 replies, but in that time one had been deleted (and therefore there was only 49 replies) maybe it would redirect you to the first.. instead of the last. I'll try and test that theory.
@antdickens Maybe it's not important, but now that you've addressed this issue, I've also looked at the link, and although the page mentions the title correctly, the actual link misspells "turok". I don't know if that has any effect or not, but I did find it kinda strange.
@antdickens Well, it happened again, and with the exact same thread, because that's now featured amongst the recent forum topics on the front page again. The plot thickens...

@ThanosReXXX haha, yeah I think it's fixed. Was an issue with my maths it only happened when a thread had exactly 2 pages, and therefore wasn't all the time!
@antdickens Aha, well that particular math will probably fly right over my head, but good to know that you've found the culprit, because it certainly was a weird little problem.
