Topic: What are you listening to right now?

@PapaMurphy I love Creepy Nuts’ music a lot, I first heard of them after Spotify recommended a few songs from them. Daten was the first song they released that I listened to. I really just love how the vocals sound in their songs, it fits the funky instrumental in Otonoke a ton!

Listened to Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai. Heard it all over Instagram so I listened to the thing and gosh dang it’s so catchy. It’s my first time hearing about Jamiroquai, but this is one of my favorites right now. I’ve really been missing out on a lot of good songs, given that I limit my music tastes to J-pop, Vocaloid, and some video game music.

Forgot to add that I’m also listening to On&On by Mellowcle ft. MEIKO. Nice little song, and I like the kind of nighttime drive vibes the song has.

@Pastellioli Jamiroquai are great, they were one of the headliners at the first gig I ever went to, Phoenix festival 97. They've got loads of great songs. We're Too Young To Die is my favourite

I've been listening to another couple of new albums, "You Only Die 1nce" by Freddie Gibbs

And the new K-Murdock. I've probably listened to this more, it's really soulful.

Exciting day for me, brand new Damu the Fudgemunk album out today. I've only heard "Heir Born" off this so far, but it's the sort of dreamy, meandering beat from Damu that I love him for, so hopefully this is a sprawling epic listen up there with his best. Check it out peeps.

New album from Skyzoo out now. I haven't listened to it yet, but he always delivers. Top quality hip hop.

Someone put the Light Trax soundtrack on youtube in one video with chapters. Really digging Dream Killer atm. Aphex Twin fans will appreciate that one. Some amazing tracks in there.

On the Nintendo Music app, I've been listening to the Toy Day theme from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It's such a nice, relaxing tune that's perfect for the holiday season. I had the music on while I was decorating my Christmas tree, and putting together my train set for underneath the tree.

Been listening to the same songs, but it’s been a few days since I last listened to anything. Last song I listened to was Windy and Co. (from Conker’s Bad Fur Day) by Robin Beanland, but I am planning on listening to some of the full soundtracks for Rare’s games soon. It bugs me that they still haven’t released the full soundtracks for Rare’s games on Spotify yet.

Also, I checked my Spotify Wrapped today, and I found the 2024 Wrapped far more underwhelming than the previous two Wraps. Though, I don’t really get excited over Spotify Wrapped. I already predicted in my head who my top artist was and my most repeated songs.

Caught up on a couple of Nas' newer albums. One rhyme stood out:

"I didn't have to die so that they could call me the great one;
Didn't take a couple albums, people said it from day one"

Put a smile on my face for the rest of the day.
