The Goron form in Majora's Mask is so cool that I would be willing to play a whole game based around it.

Majora's Mask needs a sequel. Some of the mechanics were genius

I both agree and disagree. A gameplay sequel would be awesome but a story sequel would likely be a terrible idea.

I kind of agree with KK. Majora Mask always carried such a unique tone and feel to it, especially for a Zelda game. Its ending was such a strangely fitting anti-climax. If they ever decide to make a sequel, I hope it's not just a direct sequel to Majora's Mask.

While we're on that topic, 3D world is a fantastic 3D Mario title that had a lot of clever ideas. Super Mario 64 was not quite as interesting, but I'd still like to see some HD remake of it.

AAA Video Games are too expensive these days. I know this sounds popular, but whenever I say it, I'm told "Games aren't too expensive, you're just really poor." Except I'm not even a little bit poor. I live with more money than most people will get in their lifetimes. I do have some options thanks to indie games, flash games and mobile games, but not being able to even afford getting a 3DS game without waiting for a price drop is a little bothering to me.

EDIT: Also, I understand that AAA games, by means of inflation, are technically cheaper than they've ever been.

But not by means of DLC. I just shake my head at how just about every game (save indies and most Nintendo) has a lot of DLC advertised before the game even comes out. The pinnacle of this is Evolve.

With that said, I don't find DLC to be a bad thing in general.

I don't know, the whole pricing of games is a bit complicated.

$60 just isn't enough for them to make they're money back on a big budget AAA game unless it's a mega hit like CoD or Madden. Big budget games cost more than ever to make, but for some reason, they can't charge more than $60 (even though in generations past, games that pushed the envelope cost more to reflect that. I think Super Mario Kart or DKC was like $80, while most new games were $50-$60). So, I can understand why they'd look for other ways to recoup costs.

That said, not every game released at retail needs to be the next CoD. Now, the AAA publishers do seem to be embracing smaller indie games for the digital front, but they should also be making more games "on a budget" for retail (which could easily recoup costs even if they're not mega hits), which they could use to finance one or two big projects a year. Also, they don't need to go out and get Hollywood actors to play roles in their games (like Kevin Spacey in CoD, or Keifer Sutherland in MGS), as that does nothing but unnecessarily drive up cost.

Some devs may abuse DLC either way, sure, but it may help.

@DarthNocturnal, oh yeah, the "Big Three" are actually pretty good about it, no doubt. Nintendo had the likes of Rainbow Curse & Captain Toad, Sony had Ratchet & Clank & the Uncharted Collection, and Microsoft had Rare Replay & Halo: MCC, each of which were priced below $50, I believe.

I was more referring to the big 3rd party publishers like EA, Activision, Capcom, Ubisoft, Square Enix, etc., which get the brunt of the "Big AAA games with outrageous DLC" complaints. (I guess using Mario Kart & DKC as examples of tech pushing games that cost more in the past, were bad examples for this purpose. I'm sure there were probably a few 3rd party games that cost more than average back then as well)

@CreamyDream I totally agree

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

@Lzeon What is out of date about it??? The old Twitch account that I almost never use? The Smash vote stuff, that I still believe Krystal or Shantae could come to a future Smash? My old theory about the NX? What could possibly need updating???

I think that it would be great for the gaming industry if console manufacturers made versions of game consoles with all of the multimedia and internet features stripped out so that less fortunate people can play games. It would make games more accessible and get console manufacturers some extra money.

@shaneoh yea maybe you're right.

With the reaction to AM2R's shut down (especially on this site), some people could have you think otherwise though.

I think the problem there is simply that people are desperate for an official Metroid game in general, so when Nintendo took that away, and still didn't offer any applicable alternative, the pot kind of boiled over...

I don't agree with Nintendo's decision to reinvent the franchise and its image (I will NOT be buying Federation Force), but if that's what they want, they should have every right in the world to do so. AM2R makes them look bad for their creative decision that they have every right to make.

I don't think they're trying to reinvent the franchise, it's just one spin-off. They're going to go back to a 2D game eventually (look at Mario, 3D and spin-off games for a couple of generations, then 4 1/2 2D games for another couple of generations). There's only one Metroid left post Fusion (until they decide to add more), the name isn't going to mean much unless she shows up for a game.
