20 minutes, one time, that was it, not every day lol. I can't personally find any reason to open it even once a week. For the My Nintendo coins maybe but it's a drag to do the stuff it want's for 5 coins a pop. Even for a minute there's nothing I want to do.
It made me totally and completely unexcited for the FE & AC mobile games coming. They may not even end up being the same thing but Miitomo left such a snore impression on me.
That's also why I don't bother, I have 1700 combined Platinum + Miitomo points. There's nothing I want that I can use them on, I'm going to get the Mario theme just to get it I think. I got the DK theme, I like it. Nty @ Picross
@Dankykong Well Miitomo isn't a game, it is a social app. Don't let it affect how you view future games, since they probably won't be the same. It would be disappointing if Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing weren't actual games.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
I really hate the "Only buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games" mentality some fans have. I agree that Nintendo makes some of the best games out there and they're always a driving point for me buying their consoles, but if I could have a console with both first party Nintendo games as well as big 3rd party titles like Bioshock, Mass Effect, MGS, Final Fantasy, GTA, etc.,(assuming they don't get gimped like the Wii/Wii U ports did) my life would be a whole lot easier

entirely agree. Especially after last year where Nintendo's own games didn't...always live up to people's hopes let's just say...
Of course, it doesn't help that 3rd parties are hopelessly stupid at doing anything different at all and are idiots when it comes to any audience that isn't the magical COD/GTA-level audience that will never buy games that aren't COD/GTA (or Madden too) yet hopelessly try to appeal to those people anyway. So the fact that they can't appeal to people who buy Nintendo consoles is hilariously unsurprising and I have my doubts Nintendo alone could change this. The fact that COD: Ghosts and post-sell out Splinter Cell is on Wii U but Dark Souls and Garden Warfare aren't is just baffling to me. It's like no one understands Nintendo fans, while a few of the luckier/smarter indies take a good chunk of money from what audience there is.
But yeah, it does annoy me at times. I spent an embarrassing amount of time doing everything I can to showcase some of the more interesting, not as casual Wii games that were coming out, and everyone was just so pathetic and hypocritical about it. Muramasa is still the best 2d hack n slash game I've ever played, and Little King's Story was the Wii Pikmin game we never got.
@Megas75 I am one of those people. I play almost only Nintendo games, although I'd be happy if the NX had great third party support. If Nintendo had GTA V I'd buy it, same goes for many third party games, but I don't care enough to buy another console and I won't be bummed if the NX doesn't have those games. I really don't see why that's a problem or annoying.
Not sure how unpopular this is, but I don't think Overwatch is going to make a good eSports game. Mainly because of the ability to switch Heroes whenever, but that is important to that type of gameplay too. It just makes it difficult to get attached to a Character/Player if they are constantly changing to fit different roles. Maybe competitive play will have a limited number of times a player can change roles in a match, or maybe competitive play will be too quick to make switching roles work well, but from what I can tell Overwatch isn't going to be that big of a eSports game.

Yep but in true a Twillight Zone twist ending they will be less Miitomo but instead will focus on the worst aspects of the last games. FE will focus on the amie face rubbing thing from Fates and will drop the TRPG elements in favour for a dating simulator whilst Animal Crossing is just an extension of Amiibo Festival where you have to take a picture of the Amiibo to use them in the game.
Well my Miitomo is boring opinion apparently isn't so unpopular. Although it's just one set of graphs and one article on this website, it does at least show not everyone felt it was interesting enough to continue on with it, in it's current state.
Nintendo should be the one dominating the gaming market. They are the ones that know games best compared to third parites who rarely get anything done right.
PS4 is 40 million now, pretty positive that it'll outsell the 3DS. What's wrong with this? PS4 doesn't have the games that the 3DS has and people will rant why the PS4 is better than the 3DS. Heck people still defend the Vita even with its short lifespan.
Nintendo is the main reason why gaming is what it is now. When I play something like Tomb Raider, I feel that its a Zelda Rip off only having a sexy character and just making the world real that I'm sure that Nintendo will never do for Zelda.
@jump TBF the top one is more a Koei-Tecmo game than a Nintendo developed one, and the raunchy stuff in mainline Zelda games really is few and far between. Though I most certainly do not think that portrayal of women is the Zelda series' strongest point, but that's a can of worms I most certainly do not want to open.

It's really not good to clump all 3rd parties together. Sure, some may have never been great, or are a shell of their former selves, but there are still excellent 3rd parties out there, not to mention the quality 1st and 2nd party titles coming from Microsoft and Sony.

I don't think they're comparable. I have both a 3DS and PS4 and love them to bits, but they're very different experiences, and I don't see why you'd argue one is better than the other. I agree that, for now, 3DS has maybe the better library, but the 3DS is on its way out and the PS4 is only just building momentum (in terms of next gen game development, at least).

As a fan of both series, I don't see how Tomb Raider is the slightest bit like Zelda...

Well on the same basis I don't see the new Tomb Raider games sold via being "sexy" either and does a better job than Zelda for fleshing out a female character but of course what Artwark actually means he's assuming people are only playing them because they fancy Lara otherwise they'd be playing Zelda.
I remember people calling the old Tomb Raiders a Mario rip off/the grown up Super Mario 64 rather than Zelda, not that I actually agree with that though.
I can sort of see a Metroid Prime-Arkham comparison based on scanning stuff to flesh out the back story but it's not something that would spring straight to my mind.
@DarthNocturnal Batman and Tomb Raider both have influences from the Assassin's Creed series. But I think their core gameplay mechanics are more connected to Metroidvania style.

I accidentally was okay with that Mighty No. 9 trailer, except for the terrible worse than N64 explosion graphic. But it's still not something I'm going to jump on, their century long delays and excuses have turned me off to giving them my money in any way shape or form at this point.
I just kind of hope that the N64 boobie fairy was more because of the graphics at that time, not that they thought "wow isn't she hot?" Plus her face... it's like Mrs Frizzle 64 from Magic Schoolbus.
Personally I never thought the TP Fairy was suppose to be attractive/sexy.
But I can't come up with an excuse for Hyrule Warriors
This is perhaps more unusual than unpopular, but I find the Flounder Heights stage in Splatoon really depressing. For some reason I find it really bleak and it makes me sad when I play it. I can't quite put my finger on why, it may be the lighting.
