If a Sonic Adventure song wins, I’m going to be so mad (even though it’s just a preference of mine). It definitely shouldn’t have beaten Finale in my opinion (It Has To Be This Way should also have lost the last round in my opinion). But One-Winged Angel is easily the best of these four songs…

Live and learn is just a good song

The final two songs that will be competing for the title of best final boss theme are One-Winged Angel at 5-3 and Live and Learn with the tiebreaker at 4-4. Both are iconic and well deserving of the win but only one can come out on top!

Live and Learn is amazing, but One-Winged Angel is just a straight-up masterpiece. Gotta give my vote to it

Both iconic bangers for entirely different reasons. I adore both but I have a very slight preference for Live and Learn so I'm going with that. Don't mind who wins though: they're both fantastic

Live and Learn is awesome but One Winged Angel and the boss fight itself is one of the most standout moments I've experienced in any game ever, so uh...choice is obvious to me. I'm not sure I would've even chosen any of my own choices over it.

It helps that in hindsight I prefer Open Your Heart anyway, though.

Thanks to everyone for sticking around and as always feel free to leave suggestions for the theme of the next tournament. I’ll look back to see what some of the popular ideas were last time and get a poll up in a few days so we can get things rolling on the next one.

Woooo let’s go One Winged Angel! No offense to Live and Learn, that song is incredible. But One Winged Angel is just something else entirely.

Could you make a tournament with category songs from Rhythm games ?
I know which songs should I pick for the candidates.

It would be funny, because One Winged Angel is in multiple rhythm games. So it could end up winning again!

Perhaps we could have a valentines special, and do love/seduction/wedding/etc themes.

Congrats to One-Winged Angel. Pretty easy to predict, but deserving nonetheless.

As for the next tournament, what about best in-game remixes, like in Smash Bros? Official remixes of past songs in a series.

I really want a remix one, that would be incredible.

A tournament focused on remixes is something I’ve considered before so that’s definitely a possibility. If we were to do that I think I’d like to open it to include unofficial fan remixes as well if people are on board. We could stick strictly to official remixes but I worry it would become dominated by a few games such as Smash Bros.

Perhaps official and unofficial could be separate themes for different tournaments.

That’s what I was thinking. You probably plunge too deep into a rabbit hole if every remix in existence is on the table, so we should just stick with official ones for one tournament and maybe do fanmade somewhere down the line.
