So I'm watching Sakurai's YouTube channel from the beginning, and one of the early videos is the projects he worked on. When it got to "Kid Icarus: Uprising" and it mentions online play, I was like "Whoa, that's gonna be outdated soon."
@IceDomino A recent game that got popular, it has that pokemon theme of catching stuff, the only difference is that it's a survival game, so you use those pokemons to help you survive the days
No i don't live in a tent just because i live in a desert
@ThatWeirdGuy A legion of beast-men, Luca would be the second-in-command. They're rather similar to the Forces of Nature, but rather than killing humans left and right, they prefer to operate away from human civilizations. But they also dislike the Underworld Army.
@DiamondCore well that Lewis better hurry up and invent those fancy flying cars already
frfr
I know a prototype exists for it or something, but Lewis should hurry up and put it up for sale!
Pretty much inactive

Currently Playing: Suprisingly, nothing.
Late responses again because I've been gaming a little too much. Playing the classic game X-COM: Terror from the Deep led me to playing the more modern game XCOM Enemy Within. I played Disney Speedstorm a lot and unlocked Anna, my favorite Frozen characters.
@Sunsy I was head over heels for Pokemon back in the day, and I do still quite like the series lol. Not sure if some of those sets are still at my parents' place or if they were donated. That is a really neat Trolls set! I think they went the extra mile to give the Poppy case actual hair lol. It's amazing what they can cram into the inside.
Overall it was a good Christmas. I got to see many young cousins, which was a plus. I'd love a holiday meal with more of a seafood thing, but I'm an outlier when it comes to wanting to eat a lot of it in my family. The closest we get is oyster dressing, a holiday staple on my dad's side. I like it, but it definitely isn't for everyone. Nor is it something that can be eaten often since I now know what all goes into the casserole dish lol. There's a TON of salt involved since saltine crackers are a major component.
Me too, I use to wear Pokemon shirts a lot and played the games all the time. Thanks, it really is a nice set. Definitely, I saw the picture of it online, but the hair is a nicer touch seeing it in person.
Glad it was nice. It's just seafood was always a Christmas tradition with my family. Even when mom and I went over to my brother's a few years back.
Thank you, I've been liking them. Recently, I've been playing Splatoon 3 for the Splatfest, and then Mario Kart 8 Deluxe right afterward. I should get back to Super Mario RPG now that the Splatfest is over. I have my Christmas stuff taken down too. Actually, I turned on my Mickey Mouse train set one last time (until next December, anyway) while we were removing the decorations... one last hurrah, if you will. She's been going slower and slower overtime, and eventually went to a halt. The batteries seemed to have ran their course, so I removed them and the train's back in storage. I agree, it's still nice to see the lights up in places, even in January. Ah gotcha, glad to hear you enjoyed the Trolls game regardless.
I've tried all the characters myself. I like playing as Tails, his flying ability is super useful. Sonic's drop dash is fun to use, as well. Amy's your favorite Sonic character, right? I remember you had her as your profile picture long ago. That's cool, is that Amy's outfit from the Sonic Adventure games? I just got the game from the eShop when it was on sale, just the regular edition.
I actually tried both versions of Sonic Unleashed. The Wii version, and the PS3 version. I don't remember much of the Wii version, admittedly, played more of the PS3 version as I kept hearing that the 360/PS3 version is the "better" one. The daytime levels were all right, but I don't like how they make you do quick time events in certain parts of levels. They're kind of frustrating and they break the flow of those kind of levels. Didn't like the nighttime levels too much, I remember they dragged on for so long, and they also have those quick time events which, again, I didn't like. I do like the music, at least... except for that dang werehog battle theme that plays every time enemies show up. lol
Yeah anytime, while I'm not as huge into Sonic as I used to be (I still wanna try out Sonic Frontiers though), I certainly respect that the series still has its fans. I did hear the Sonic Boom cartoon is pretty good, I've not watched it though so I can't comment on that.
That's cool, we've both at least been to some sort of Disney place. That's awesome, especially with those Anna and Elsa plushies you got! That is another big thing about Disney's parks, meeting folks like Mickey Mouse and the princesses, as well as wearing the Mickey ears. Would love to go to both the Disney and Nintendo parks myself... I'd visit Universal just for Nintendo. I'm that kind of guy. lol
I'm kind of like that, when I start playing Mario Kart online, I can really get into it. That admittedly makes it hard for me to focus on other games, plus I'd have in my Switch's cartridge slot, too.
Good time gaming. That's nice, I've been doing the same with my mini bedroom Christmas tree. Just using it in the evening until the batteries go out (so I don't waste them). I'm surprised the batteries lasted this long since the bedroom tree lights are battery powered.
Nice, I still need to try out Tails and Knuckles. Yup, Amy is my favorite, when I first came here I did use her as my profile picture. It is Amy's modern outfit from Sonic Adventure on, it's still classic Amy wearing it. Picture classic Amy wearing modern Amy's dress and you get the picture.
Lucky, you got to try both, all I had was the Wii one. Funnily enough, I remember the Wii version was better received than the other two. At least with reviewers at the time anyway. Oh ok, now I'm trying to remember if the Wii had quick time elements in its werehog levels. I do remember the Wii remote and nunchuk were used like fighting though, lol.
That's cool, yeah it was a really good show. Just missed it in its heyday, so Sonic Boom for me were the three games up until I got the DVD of it.
Yup, sad that Disney Store is gone where I live now. Anna and Elsa plushies were certainly a fun memory, I still have them. I imagine that, I think the biggest appeal to places like Disney and Universal is just meeting characters.
Indeed, also it doesn't help when other games catch my attention. Been playing XCOM, and weirdly enough it's making me want to play Mario+Rabbids. I have Mario+Rabbids too thanks to the sale from its NSO trial a few years back, that game and XCOM have in common is they're both turn-based strategy games.
This is truth. Seriously though, I have more enjoyment out of shows, movies, and games that are seen as "kids entertainment," than more mature shows and movies. Though I do play some mature themed games, like Quake and Mortal Kombat for example.
@sunsy thought you might like to know that trolls 3 seems to have for lack of a better word pierced the bubble. I havent done any searches for it but my YouTube page keeps recommending me positive videos on it. You won
The whole positive reception Trolls Band Together has been getting on YouTube surprises me, especially since a lot on that site trashed the first two movies (most common being "it's cringe," or "kid movie bad"). Even a critic who called the first two movies "terrible," ended up liking it. It makes me happy to see people finally see why fans like myself love this series so much.
According to the commentary regarding the game βTales of Monkey Islandβ, episode 1's bar fight had to get trimmed down to an offscreen cutscene in order to fit the episode in the Wii's 40 MB size limit. As a result, the bar was named Club 41 as in the 41st MB of content.
@Eagly_lmtd_xmasskin Thanks. Hope you get to see, it was really good. Trolls Band Together is my most watched movie in theaters, saw it a total of five times. Twice alone (includes the early access showing), and three times with my friend. Even got it on Blu-Ray/DVD already... this has to be some sort of record. The DVD came out practically two months after release.
Also happy to see it did well at box office. I haven't seen Wish, but I keep seeing others mention the villain song is much better than Wish's. I'm surprised by that.
Not so much novels, I just feel kids entertainment in general is more magical as oppose to being dark or sad. My mom watches crime dramas, and I see no appeal in it personally. Just an example I could think of at the moment.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
Kind of a weird thing for me to say, but I appreciate moments in movies where two or more main characters are walking through some gorgeous scenery, and the camera panning is slow enough for me to appreciate it despite their conversation.
Looked through the best bands of 2020s and it's either old bands from 00s or some completely unknown names I have never heard of.
The future is grim, we need to archive history of the 90s and 00s and hold on to it for as long as we can
Thatβs called getting old. Every generation at some point finds all the cool yoof counter culture music of today different to what they think it should be due to being out of touch. The same thing happened to your parents when Motley Crue and Genesis were replaced with Nirvana and Blur, the same happened to your grandparents when The Beach Boys and The Kinks were replaced with Led Zepplin and The Ramones. Really that is as it should be, the cool music of right now shouldnβt be established household names that even your Auntie and Uncle knows about, like imagine asking your Great Aunt who watches Emmerdale and hasnβt gone up in da club for decades about what is hot in the scene right now.
@jump it would be but there are two points worth considering:
1. I am not getting old yet (I mean technically everybody is getting older and older but you know what I mean)
2. I never stopped being out of touch with music, it's just that there are no names worth mentioning nowadays. If there was cool music of today, I would have known that, I can say it with some certainty. I'm not claiming to be the all knowing musical guru, but I really know my way around the beats, half of the music I listen to are older than me, that means something.
I don't mean to argue, but has anyone heard of any good band coming out after 2010? Like Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Blink 182, Green Day, Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Asia, The Beatles, The Cure, Sum 41, etc. These are the names everyone knows, even people born after their debuts. We don't see such big names nowadays. The last one that was everywhere was someone called Justin Bieber but his career was entirely engineered by the music companies in order to create a music celebrity, and he got lost to the sands of time the second his controversy stopped being fun.
