@MarioLover92 yeah, also a lego set loses 90% of its worth when opened. I will never sell it but it's a psychological barrier. Trains are great, I have no idea why they fit in Christmas spirit, but they... do! You have more of them? That's super neat. Do you do that thing with a toy train riding on tracks around the Christmas tree? I swear I'm getting a set to do this!
I actually do, yeah! I'm a proud child at heart... I love having my train chug around the tree. <3 My train has a remote that controls how fast it moves along the tracks, too! That's awesome, you go for it. I have another Christmas-themed Disney train beside the one you saw previously, which just has an on/off switch. On the Legos, oh gotcha. I have a few Mario-themed Lego sets myself. I've put together the one that's themed after Super Mario 64, and another that is Peach's castle. Those were fun to put together and I love seeing the finished results.
My avatar is now more linked in "toon" with the season.
@Sunsy I experimented with different occupations in the Oregon Trail games. Namely to mess around with difficulty lol.
That completely makes sense; that's why I try to be "picky" when it comes to sugary things since I'd rather it be something I truly like and/or don't get often. I like many forms of cookies, though I dislike sugar cookies; they're either too sweet or too plain and taste like cardboard. It's hard to complain about brownies at all. XD Some of it is I do like trying new things too.
@MarioLover92 Programming can get frustrating sometimes; this is why it's best to switch gears to something else (if possible) or take a short break. Coding can get pretty overwhelming sometimes, but that was good advice: taking it one step at a time. Mistakes are part of the game; the trick is learning how to sit with and work through them. I don't expect half of what i do at work to fully work as intended sometimes. Practice, experience, checking, and testing your work is essential.
Outside of a required class for a college program I was in, I've never had any formal art classes or training. It was a route I wanted to go VERY early on when I was a kid, but I became way more attracted to other interests and careers before long. Some of it was/is a patience thing; I can get easily frustrated when something isn't turning out how I'd like.
The spikes in old-school platformers. So. Much. Uuuuuugggghhh. Even sneezing on them is bad news. That wasn't an element I was too happy to revisit in Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope. I enjoyed the game overall, but some sections were insanely frustrating. I don't think MMBN4's tournament plot was as good as in 3, but it was still a fun concept. I didn't dislike MMBN5's liberation missions, but there are much better SRPG implementations. That was my first soft introduction to the genre at the time. MMBN6 Falzar is pretty good, but I prefer Gregar for the Link Navis and general abilities available. I also have a wolf bias. XD I could go into more detailed explanation about that ranking, but then I'd be here for a LONG time. XD
Currently playing: Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy (Switch)
@Tyranexx
Ooh, Santa Toon Link. (Looking at your current avatar).
The only (sorry...) Zelda games I have are Wind Walker Wii U and Triforce 3DS.
And yet I still haven't finished the games. 😅
You only need to know about my many obsessions, which consist of Lego, Fortnite, Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox games, drawing on my Tablet, Dragon Ball Z, My Hero Academia, Thomas The Tank Engine, Star Wars, and Ninjago.
Y'all I'm still alive.
Dunno how often I'll be here talking, probaly not as much as I was. I got myself into a lot of trouble and so opportunities to talk will come less and less. I'll be talking like I was eventually though!
Let's go play Legally Distinct Pocket Creatures and drink uranium juice!

I can't help but have this nagging feeling that the media seems to think I've played every single title that The Game Awards is nominating for, but in actuality I've only played...like two so far, while I'm just barreling my way through the votes and picking the titles I like more (and choosing the coaches, players and teams who I think have more interesting-sounding names since I never watch tournaments, sorry guys)
