A mate of mine has an hd ready tv and a ps5. When I saw him playing on it, it said the resolution was 720i. Shouldnt it be p? I know hd ready isnt hd, but thats ridicolous. I have an hd ready tv from about 2006 with my xbox series s and the picture quality is better than that(although it is blurry and the colours are washed out, how do I fix that?)
@Dannyboi The i in 720 stands for interlaced rendering, it's a different method of rendering than progressive (the p in 720p or aka pixels sometimes depending on context). Progressive is much better than interlaced, tho for your friend maybe try to change the TV's color settings and check the video settings on the ps5, Xbox s might just has auto configure for low resolution TVs and not the ps5
No i don't live in a tent just because i live in a desert
Quite busy with both gaming and IRL stuff too. Gaming has been fun, mostly playing Trolls Remix Rescue and beat the game. Really love how the game lived up to the series it's based on, enjoying just exploring around with all abilities achieved. Also still playing Jagged Alliance on PC and tried Path of Exile on PC. The latter is similar to the classic Blizzard game, Diablo.
IRL stuff, took a trip to the store and treated myself to a special Trolls edition Polly Pocket toy. It's cute, it looks like Poppy's head and opens up to reveal the Trolls world. Normally I don't get these, but this one's special. Also got late Christmas surprise, a family friend gave me a Trolls Coloring book, activity pad, and sticker set. That was nice.
@Sunsy Glad to hear you're enjoying Sonic Superstars. That's a game I want to get at some point. How does it compare to Sonic Mania? Because I did love that game.
That's cool. Christmas day was spent opening presents, and helping my mom make dinner. That'd be cool to see it again. Yeah, I'm pretty much the same way, I have my Christmas decorations up until mid-January or so. Since not only are the holidays over for now, but also, my birthday's on January.
Oh that's all right, it happens. I forgot to mention that Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker has a few train levels, too! Yoshi's Island is a fantastic game in general... it's one of my favorites from my childhood.
Yep that's right, Walt Disney World has a monorail that folks can go on, it goes by Epcot. I know they have those old-fashioned steam trains that you could ride, too... one of the locomotives there has Walt Disney's name right on her! (In case you're not aware, trains can be referred to as a she, just like with boats or ships.) You may remember that one scene in The Aristocats where Marie and the other two kittens would walk on the railroad tracks and pretend to be a train... so cute!
Lol, we're polar opposites in that regard! I don't blame you, RPGs can be a little daunting at first. Heck, they're still a little daunting for me... just look at how long they tend to be! At least the Mario RPGs tend to be shorter, about 20-30 hours or so. I did hear New Pokemon Snap is pretty good, that's another game I'd like to get since I did like the Nintendo 64 one.
Dang. Was that the only instance of you being matched up with a hacker? I only came across that one hacker in Mario Kart Wii once, most people I played with played legitimately. It's also the only time I came across a hacker, period.
That's awesome to hear, once again, glad to hear you're liking Superstars!
Yeah, it's a cool game. My brother gave it to me along with a Lyft gift card (which I used for my store trip) for Christmas. I even described it to him as classic Sonic, but in HD. He likes the classic Sonic games more, while I like Sonic in general, classic, modern, and Boom.
Sounds like you had a nice Christmas.
I forgot about Captain Toad, and I played it during its free trial period.
Looks like I remembered correctly. I didn't know they had one of those kinds of steam trains. Never been to any of Disney's parks, though I probably would go to Universal just for the meetable Poppy. Yes, I remember that scene.
I remember thinking Mario RPG was going to be some 3D Mario game when I first tried it. We rented it sometime after having played Sonic 3D Blast, so I thought it was isometric like that, lol. Me being a kid not knowing what an RPG was at the time. They can be, though I've grown to enjoy them over time. Outside Pokemon, I've played Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (love this one) and a few of the Shin Megami Tensei games. I do want to play that still, I remember being so surprised when I saw a new Pokemon Snap was revealed, yet I haven't picked it up yet. I always enjoyed Pokemon spin-offs, like Snap, Pinball, and Pokken Tournament (underrated fighting game, have it on Wii U).
Not really, I could mention plenty of times in older PC games when a hacker invaded a server. Specifically the game, Red Faction.
Indeed. Now that I beat Trolls Remix Rescue, I think I'm gonna play more Sonic Superstars next. Still so fun to just finally explore the Trolls universe in a game. I'm still booting up the game just to explore around and play as Viva too (played most of the game as Poppy).
@Sunsy Glad you had a decent Christmas! Sounds like it was low-key, which is honestly how I'd like to spend mine. I usually have a lot of family stuff the day of though and am not home at all that day. Christmas Eve has become a little more chill in recent years though. It used to be almost as bad.
Another not very prone to dysentery in an old historical sim game lol. Glad you're having fun with that Trolls game, same with Sonic Superstars.
It was, the only thing is my brother stopped by later in the day to give us gifts and that was it. It was a nice chill Christmas with mostly movies.
Nope, it just rarely happened whenever I played, lol. I am, I beaten it, and now just replaying it to explore around the Trolls world now that abilities are unlocked. I am, I described it to my brother as a classic Sonic game, but in HD.
Space and Games are similar. Space is endless and new stuff is out there waiting to be discovered. Games are always being made but the creativity is different from one game to another and so many more ideas still haven't been imagined or created yet. (That came out better than expected lol)
@Sunsy only real ones like Sonic boom rise of lyric lol

@GalaxicGlobe Honestly, I'm one of the few who actually liked Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric, despite its technical problems. Though in context to that, I was talking about Boom in general. Games and the show.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
