I can't help but have this nagging feeling that the media seems to think I've played every single title that The Game Awards is nominating for, but in actuality I've only played...like two so far, while I'm just barreling my way through the votes and picking the titles I like more (and choosing the coaches, players and teams who I think have more interesting-sounding names since I never watch tournaments, sorry guys)
@Moffo I already defeated Ganon in BOTW, so now I have to get the other two medals, then talk to Purah since I've taken every single picture for the Hyrule Compendium (including the permanently-missable equipment and bosses). With all the quests (except that stupid "Trial of the Sword") finished, THEN I'll finally start "Tears of the Kingdom".
Great day for me today. I finally finished my Christmas tree... now it's all set for the entirety of December! I had fun decorating, I put up as much ornaments as I could and I put my Disney train under my tree. I even lit a holiday candle, and had nice music going to match the occasion of me working my holiday magic.
@Tyranexx I like your new profile picture! Toon Link's getting into the holiday spirit as well, huh? Agreed, with something like programming, you'll need a bit of time to blow off some steam somehow. I'm not the kind of guy who would do well with doing the whole thing in one sitting, lol. Yeah, with programming, everyone's bound to make a mistake or two, and the program doesn't run. It's mega important to make sure your program runs A-OK without a single error... we don't want a program that's dead on arrival, do we?
Oh gotcha, that's fine. I think that happens to quite a few people, how our interests may change as time goes on. Yeah... I don't like when things don't go as planned, either. Programming might be worth revisiting for me sometime, I do have GameMaker so I could toy around with that. I've made an Asteroids clone with a tutorial... perhaps I could try to make something related to Space Invaders or Galaga?
Ah yeah, Shovel Knight is a tough game for sure. Fitting, too, as it was a game that was inspired by many of the most well-known NES games. Shovel of Hope was the only story I've finished as of now, though that was a decade ago... I've finished it on the Wii U. For MMBN5's liberation missions, yeah, stuff like Fire Emblem and Shining Force are probably better-made tactical games, or at least more focused and more in-depth. I still thought BN5's interpretation was decent though. Been a while since I played Blazing Blade... though every time I played it, I would just do one level per session. These kind of games really get me thinking, lol.
@EllaTheQueen6 I know I haven't replied to your posts a whole lot, but I send my best wishes to you!
@Princess_Lilly It's OK, no worries. Fluffy dreams to you as well!

Favorite games: Super Mario 3D World, Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Playing: Hollow Knight
Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@Princess_Lilly No thanks needed Lilly, I just speak my heart (mind) whenever I want to, I just hope you will be able to be happy and joyful with the things you say and do and see and experience yourself as the one you want to be while at the same time be accepted by others . Remember that it is not always the specific individual in question who is at fault...I, at least, look forward to continu seeing your comments from time to time .
Gaming since the early nin(e)ties and probably will until death does me apart :) .
Looking forward till the day we can game with all of our senses.
@Moffo Yeah, being out of the loop is like that, no matter if you are 25 or 39. Being remembered is what counts.
@TeaCatherine yeah that's too bad about the roof, but I think nothing ever gets done as much as planned, that's the way universe works.
@MarioLover92 Oh, that's super lovely. Those Mario kits look really nice. I think it's a bit of a shame they didn't go for pretty dioramas as well, but if the current ones sell, Lego company will prolly do more. I had no idea that PIKO of all the manufacturers would have Christmas sets, they specialize in those super realistic models https://www.piko-america.com/collections/christmas
The speed controller with only 2 speeds sucks, but I have a fluent controller somewhere, that tool is possibly older than me, lol.
I'm a child at heart when Christmas comes around, not ashamed to admit it.
Also, Christmas Tree already? We usually set ours up right before the Eve. They remain fresh until Feb 2nd that way if we water it.
@IceDomino well, the pic was about being remembered during your lifetime.
But that's honestly interesting. I heard once that "your whole life, you are just gathering people to your funeral". I'm not doing a great job with that, but that aside, I don't really believe in it. people have this immanent fear of being forgotten. “There are three deaths. The first is when the body ceases to function. The second is when the body is consigned to the grave. The third is that moment, sometime in the future, when your name is spoken for the last time.” - David M. Eagleman
There will come a day when the last star goes off and the universe will be just infinite space with big circling rocks in eternal darkness, but the fun and love we had when we were alive will never be erased, even if there was nobody to perceive it.
