@JONOFTHEJONS Nah, you enjoy what you like. I'm an adult, and a lot of animated movies I like are the ones targeted to kids. As for YouTube, I watch a lot of gaming content on there, so the family friendly stuff might be animated movie clips from official channels, sometimes toy unboxings where the camera is zoomed in on the toy itself (really useful to see stuff before buying it, since I do collect stuff with my favorite characters on them).

Does anyone find me watching family friendly YouTubers like Nick Eh 30 weird? My parents want me to watch family friendly videos and that’s caused me a huge dislike for swearing and unfriendliness in YouTube videos. Am I the only one in this thread who watches family friendly videos on YouTube, even though I’m eighteen years old?
Nah, I do the same thing.

@JONOFTHEJONS Honestly, I'm like that as well. I generally don't like swearing in videos, particularly strong language and if it's all said in a rude manner. So you're definitely not the only one. I do remember watching one YouTuber in particular who tends to be like that (he would review Sonic and Mega Man games for example), having no-no language and sounding overly angry and negative throughout the entire video. Yeah... I can't watch stuff like that.
And actually, I do like family-friendly stuff in general as well, and I'm in my 30s. I love games like Super Mario, Kirby, and Animal Crossing... and I also love Disney movies.

@JONOFTHEJONS Me too! They were a part of my childhood as well, I've enjoyed both Nintendo games and Disney movies since I was little. Back in the 90s, we used to have a lot of Disney movies on VHS, and my dad had the SNES and a lot of games for it. We had the Nintendo 64, as well.

Chill day today, started decorating my Christmas Tree and played some Mario Kart and Apex, also listening to Christmas music. Just waiting until Monday to go see Trolls Band Together again.
Nice, that's cool. You really like that movie, huh? Today, I saw Wish in theaters a day early, and without spoiling anything, I really liked it. My local AMC happened to have the movie up a day earlier than its actual release date so I lucked out! I remember Yoshi's Story, I used to have that game when I was young, and I do kinda like it actually... I also played it for a bit on NSO.
Yeah, there's certainly room for improvement. There are some Nintendo games that could use better online for sure... I'm looking right at you, Smash Bros. Hopefully, the next game's online won't be a PowerPoint presentation, lol. I'd certainly like more well-known games to come to NSO as well... those obscure games that keep popping up, I don't think a lot of people would be too eager to try, lol. I know that the YouTube channel Good Vibes Gaming has a series called NSO Game Club, where they talk about various games throughout NSO in a random order. So we could try out what we call "hidden gems" that way. Yeah exactly, it's why I don't like a lot of mobile games. Personally, I'd rather just buy a game, and be done with it. Plus DLC if it's worth it.
Thank you for your recommendation... you're certainly right, I'm a huge fan of Christmastime. I think Holiday in Harmony is on Hulu... which we do have! I wanna try to watch it, actually. I'll definitely think of you when I see it. You're inspiring me to check out the Trolls movies now!
True, an emulated port of those games would probably do just fine I think. I'd imagine they would be on NSO so that the multiplayer modes could be preserved. Thanks, I've finished Fusion twice - the second time was when the game came out on NSO's GBA app. Yeah I remember that, I liked how the early Pokemon games were all red or blue, depending on what version you're playing.
I don't have my tree out just yet, though I'm certainly eager to bring it down, lol. That's cool you have your own little tree, mine's already holiday-themed right from the get-go. Yep, my Cat Mario ornament is indeed Super Mario 3D World inspired. That'd be cool, I think I have all the batteries for my train. I will need two different kinds since mine has a remote control. Here's my Christmas train set on my bedroom shelf, by the way... choo choo!
It's a Mickey Mouse holiday train, and I even made it so that it looks like Mario and Princess Peach are about to hop aboard. This is the train that I'll be placing under my tree!
That's a cool Trolls movie haul you got there. Similarly, when I got to see Wish, I wore my Mickey Mouse tee to it since it is a Disney movie, after all!
Definitely, by far one of my favorites. I've waited two years for this one. Nice, always good to see it a bit early. Trolls ended up being a lot earlier as the early access screening was on the anniversary of the series. Glad you like it. That reminds me, AMC made a popcorn bucket of the star in Wish, and it lights up. I love Yoshi's Story, my first N64 game.
Yeah, I still remember struggling through a match of Smash on Wii U. I'm surprised they still haven't fixed the issue, or use rollback netcode which I know fighting games tend to do. Honestly, it feels like a classic gaming subscription with online multiplayer tacked on. As harsh as that sounds, I would just like better servers or better performing netcode for games. As for classics, I think a regular drop would be nice. I miss the days when we got at least 1 or 2 NES games per month. They kind of stopped that for all systems. Nice, I heard of that, isn't that the channel run by the guy who use to do Nintendo Life's videos, John?
You're welcome. That's why I'm recommending it, it's really a heartwarming special. Enjoy them if you ever get around to them.
Yeah, I would love it if Sonic Advance 3 came back with co-op play online, or even its vs. mode. I played the vs. mode of that game last year when my friend visited. Cool. Yup, also I remember the colors that Pokemon Yellow used, while limited, had the color scheme that the Pokemon games had on Super Game Boy. For example, Cerulean City turns blue.
I started decorating my tree this morning, I did my small bedroom tree yesterday afternoon. The ornament sounds cool. I still need to replace the batteries on my train, so it's not set up yet. BTW, nice train set.
Yeah, they gave those out to everyone seeing the movie. I do have the mic deflated and put away, never had luck with inflatables, they usually break over time. The blind bag was nice, and the lanyard is one of a kind. You can't get that unless you went to the fan event. Blind bags can be found anywhere. Awesome! I think the few Disney shirts I have include Sofia the First and Alice's Wonderland Bakery (I was surprised Disney sold these on Amazon in adult sizes), a few Anna and Elsa ones, and a Wreck-It Ralph one with Vanellope on it.
@Sunsy
I can assure you WISH by Disney is a worthy movie to watch.
I watched that movie just now.
It was good movie and there were a lot of Easter Eggs from Disney franchises.
@Sunsy That's OK, take your time. I've been busy with working my Christmas magic for my home lately... I got my tree and branches up as of now and I'll be doing everything else for the tree tomorrow!
Between cooking and preparing dinner, the past few days have been busy. Even had to venture out on Black Friday for an errand (not really, it was the deli I walk to). I did order a Trolls shirt thanks to a Black Friday sale, lol. My tree started to get decorated, as I mentioned before.

@Sunsy
About Trolls Band Together, I have never expected the Velvet and Veneer (and their fans that look like them) are Succubus & Incubus as those creatures in folklore are vampire creatures who like to seduce human in dream.
And they don't even look like winged vampire creatures at all in Trolls Band Together. 😲
Ironically, I prefer the songs from Trolls Band Together than from WISH as the Pop music choices in Band Together are more memorable and easy to memorize them than the songs from WISH which have overcomplicated lyrics like Frozen 2 songs and hard to remember the melody to hum.
I literally was screaming in my heart when I heard and saw the DreamWorks logo suddenly become Retro 80's, I really love it. Very rare to see nowadays artist want to recreate a genuine 80's style songs in this era as I found a lot of YouTubers like to remix the modern songs into 80's style and they sounds way much better than the original, depend on who is the YouTubers.
We need more happy 80's style songs with strong Bass kick in this era than the terrible hip hop songs with vulgar lyrics like from Nicki Minaj or Kanye West. The reason I hate modern songs in this era because of terrible songs style and vulgar lyrics, don't you think so?
Also, I never expected the Trolls creatures are way smaller than the other creatures like Bergens and Succubus in Trolls Band Together.
And from the design style, looks like DreamWorks like to provide unusual drawing style characters than the beautiful character design like from Disney such as Frozen / Wish / etc.
About WISH, I was thinking Magnifico the mighty sorcerer looks like evil male version of Elsa from Frozen. He was too handsome and I knew he was not nice people since I watched him from the trailer.
@Anti-Matter Didn't think that, I thought Velvet and Veneer were influenced by the Betty Spaghetty dolls. Dolls with long bendable arms and legs. Looking at how they look, I can see the resemblance.
Glad you love the music of Band Together. There was heavy influence on the music by boy bands of the 80's and 90's. Like New Kids on the Block, New Edition (the medley in one scene featured songs from both bands), NSYNC (fun fact: Branch's voice actor, Justin Timberlake, was part of this group), and so on. Even the original song, It Takes Two, gave me an 80's vibe too, there was an extended version of both Perfect and It Takes Two in the credits.
This series is well known for music and singing. Actually, the shirt I just ordered has Poppy singing with a microphone surrounded by music notes, it's a huge part of the series. The first movie did some more classic pop songs like September by Earth Wind and Fire and Total Eclipse of the Heart. The second movie tackled country and classic rock, with some techno and classical.
Bergens are bigger, they get along with the trolls, but it wasn't always like that. In the first movie, the Bergens were miserable, they always ate trolls because they believe eating a troll makes them happy, however Poppy showed them that happiness was inside them all along, they needed help to find it. In the DreamWorks All-Stars Kart Racing game, the two bergens are playable characters, both Bridget and Gristle. Trolls themselves are power-ups. Glad the bergens are the playable reps for Trolls in the game.
Yeah, the whole Trolls world is very arts and crafts inspired, everything has like a felt-like texture to it. Think Yoshi's Woolly World or Yoshi's Crafted World.
Nice. Seeing him in trailers, he did give me that vibe.
@MarioLover92 that train is extra awesome! I am a big sucker for Christmas trains and decorations overall! I have a Lego Christmas train but I do not unpack it out of fear of losing parts.
@Anti-Matter I don't think it's a matter of times. We can find great songs from 2020s too, but you won't find them on the front page. There are no good popular songs, but good songs are still there
but yeah you just made me realize 90% of my fav songs came out at least 15 years ago
Been a bit busy with stuff today... so while I did get the tree lights up, I couldn't get to the ornaments just yet, so those would need to be done tomorrow. That's all right since that spreads out the Christmas decorating quite a bit before December comes. Also I played Mario Party 3 with @ChameleonBros tonight, and it was fun!
@Sunsy Good to hear you started decorating your Christmas tree. I haven't got to the ornaments yet, but I did get the lights up. They're white lights. I also got to listen to Mario snow music while putting up the lights, and played some Mario Party 3 afterward. I got to play as Peach, as well.
Great to hear it's one of your favorites. Yeah I remember you told me that, the early access was on the Trolls series' anniversary! Me too, I enjoyed Wish quite a bit. Fun fact, that was the third Disney movie I've seen in theaters. Previously, I've seen Frozen II when that came out in theaters, and the first Disney movie I've seen in theaters was The Lion King. Although that was a long, long time ago... I was a toddler back then. I recall seeing that Wish star popcorn bucket, though I just settled with a regular large-sized one. I had popcorn and a red ICEE drink. That's awesome, the first N64 game I had was Mario Kart 64. I played it a ton back in the day.
I think I did as well, I recall I had a bit of a rough experience with Smash 3DS's online. I remember being matched up with someone who seemed to be from Japan, and the match kept stopping and going. It's partly why I haven't been playing Smash too much these days after getting my fill with Smash Ultimate... that, and I'm not great at it, lol. Actually, I've played the test drive for Mario Strikers: Battle League last year, and its online actually ran pretty good from what I've played. And I played a pretty good amount of matches, too. Plus I recall hearing that a lot of players were having trouble with Splatoon 3's disconnections back when the game first came out, and right now, the disconnections aren't as often as they used to be. So that's good they don't happen as much, at least. Just depends on your internet connection, it seems. Yep, Jon Cartwright is part of Good Vibes Gaming now, yeah I believe he runs the channel.
Thanks, I sure will. Just been busy as a bee with various things lately.
Yeah the co-op and vs. mode would be cool to check out, I've only played Sonic Advance 3 solo. Actually, I just remembered. I played a bit of Sonic Advance 1's multiplayer, but not too much of it. I've played Sonic 2's multiplayer, as well as the multiplayer in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. Those are the two that I especially remember.
I wanna get a picture of my Cat Mario ornament once I get it on my tree. Gotcha, I still haven't got the batteries in my train yet, as I said earlier, I just have the lights up on my tree right now. Thanks! I'm excited to have my train under my tree in due time. Trains add a lot to the holiday atmosphere, honestly... to me, anyway. They make Christmastime quite a bit more heartwarming.
Ah gotcha... we have a Halloween decoration that could be inflated, and we've had it for a long time. Not all of it can be inflated, unfortunately... only most of it. I guess time wasn't too kind to it. That's awesome, I'd like to have more Disney-themed clothing in general. Most of my clothes are Nintendo-themed.
@Princess_Lilly Thank you! I love Christmas trains and decorations, as well. A decent amount of my ornaments are trains (I do have a good variety of ornaments too, such as my Nintendo and Disney ornaments), and I've had a tradition going on where I would have a train set under my tree. Trains really do add a lot to the holiday atmosphere. Ah gotcha, I don't blame you, that Lego train you've mentioned sounds kinda hard to get out.

@Sunsy Whoops, I forgot to write up a reply to the one you've made for my other post. My mistake. Yeah, the past few days have been busy with me as well, cooking Thanksgiving dinner and doing other stuff. That's cool you got that Trolls shirt on that Black Friday sale.

I felt really upset and heartbroken to see my favorite DDR artist Naoki Maeda has his newest songs on 5 panel dancing machine that I really hate them.
It's like how could he sell his songs to DDR rival, that 5 panel dancing machine?!
I don't know how to say this.
I felt the world is hating me for liking Japanese stuffs...
@Moffo nay, I have not. Yet. But I have it on my watchlist! Did you like it? I heard it's great.
@MarioLover92 yeah, also a lego set loses 90% of its worth when opened. I will never sell it but it's a psychological barrier. Trains are great, I have no idea why they fit in Christmas spirit, but they... do! You have more of them? That's super neat. Do you do that thing with a toy train riding on tracks around the Christmas tree? I swear I'm getting a set to do this!
@Anti-Matter well, it would seem like we have different tastes in music. Nothing wrong with it.
Anyone planning to go back to Honkai Star Rail? I got a promo code
Hey, haven't been here for a while and just caught up on the whole month I missed; wishing everybody who's birthday I missed a late happy birthday. Sorry, we went up to the scottish islands for 2 weeeks to work on the house but it turned into 5 and a bit, 'cause of unexpected asbestos. Back for now but doing our Christmas meetup with my nana we don't live with tommorow, lodges don't have wifi so I shan't be here.
Anyway, here's something to get you into the Christmas spirit, y'all.
Currently playing: Metal Gear Solid

@TeaCatherine Hello, we missed you! I was about to @ you but didn't want to impose. So how are you and Scooby Doing? I really hope you didn't do anything about the asbestos yourselves? Have fun with the family meetup!
@Moffo I think the code is for returning players, but I'm pretty sure there is also some code for the new players so I can fetch it for you if you decide to play. Funny thing is, I was playing Genshin much more than Star Rail and waited for Furina (who was presented as a spoiled brat princess type, and I really liked her personality) for more than a month. Got her, built her and that's it. Fast forward when I saw HuoHuo in Star Rail and immediately regretted not playing the game for months. So I played it SERIOUSLY for a week, got HH and fell in love with the game all over again. HH herself is super adorable + almost as relatable as Layla from GI
Well then Aquaria it is! After Gravity Falls and like 5 other shows I need to catch up. Last thing like this I saw was She Ra and High Guardian Spice (unpopular opinion, I loved it!)
@Princess_Lilly My dad prioritised mine and my siblings health, he got rid of it whilst wearing protective gear whilst we gardened or tidied up the massive junk heap outside.Didn't get as much done as planned because the roof felt we were using didn't apply well below a certain temperature and high wind weather warnings; not exactly what you want when the main purpose of your trip is roofing and putting new gutters up.
Yeah, that was just something I found earlier in the year, can't remember why. @Moffo Huh, were you not here when I left? Maybe I just feel you were because I scrolled everything that happened whilst I was gone. @EllaTheQueen6 Sorry to hear about your Animal Crossing save, hope you manage to get something like it back.
