First of all sorry everyone for not replying for a couple of days, I got swept off the board for a couple of days and after work I was too tired to do anything. I also wanted a cool head for this. I'm a bit better today.
@Snatcher Thank you very much! The comment in question was regarding how poor the choices for Games Award were, for a couple of reasons, like paid categories, lack of knowledge of the people responsible, general trends and ties to the major western companies. I think someone thought that I was talking about Nintendo games even though I honestly think they were the only good picks out there.
I seem to be cursed with this, everytime I say something that isn't a general consensus, I gather some casual hatred from people who shouldn't even feel insulted. I have this thing where I focus on negativity (I am working on it, but I already said it like 20 times and my efforts aren't seen, which can be perceived as cringe in its own right). The reason why I sometimes say more negative things is that if we keep praising everything, nothing will change for the better. I recently lost any hope for the video games industry, but for example - if we say that the average games are good enough, we won't see anything better. Critique might not be pleasant, but by directing it at ideas rather than people (what I try to do), we can show others that we deserve better, and more demanding as consumers, leading to companies finally making good products in order to make us buy things.
So yeah I actually think it might be a curse as long as something like a curse can exist. I generally tend to gather hatred like electrostatic cloth gathers dust. Or maybe I'm just poor with people and I can't read the room. Nevertheless, it's a continuing trend in my life, one of the main themes of why I was bullied when I was younger and why I generally grew distrustful towards people.
At the same time I know it could just be me, so I don't trust myself fully to be too friendly with other people so as not to hurt them. I mean I probably hurt my former 2 friends pretty badly back then. I still remember one show episode where a girl was a bad friend (like, genuinely not a good person) and she hated herself for not being able to change. It was just a minor theme and nobody paid it any attention but damn it hit like a truck.
It's just being called out like that made some things resurface. Things I want to get rid of.
I just want to say again that I really appreciate that you took your time to let me know all that.
@Definitely-Not-Leon thank you so very much for this! It honestly made me feel a lot better. I'll try to provide some more opinions from time to time, in a milder manner.
@Eel I do not want to make it look like I disagree, I just heard that "being passive aggressive is not better than being openly aggressive" from my former friend and it honestly made me feel like I was as guilty as people who punch/kick/bully others for opinions.
Just a total sidenote, I lost track of the forum's dynamic and I should work on myself more before trying to socialize again, so I'll be less active and try to observe the proper code of conduct for a while, but I'll stay here until I get banned.
Bring me the sesame, miso, citrus and pepper flavored fish cakes
Okay, I have watched both Trolls Band Together and WISH. Both of them are very musical movies, but I found something that I like and don't really like from them. Here is my thought.
Trolls Band Together
Music = Love the 80's, 90's throwback and the music choices for medley was great.
Character design = Kinda meh for me as I knew DreamWorks tend to provide unusual / non beautiful looking chracters.
Story = Great. I like the idea of rescuing the former boy band from their rival that actually a phony.
WISH
Music = Overcomplicated lyrics like Frozen 2. I didn't even remember any songs sung from the movie.
Character design = Still good as Frozen style. I found the new trend by using great looking character as villain and the non beautiful looking character as the main protagonist.
Story = Great also, I already knew Magnifico wasn't a nice people.
Also, I love the Easter Eggs that shown during the movie and credit roll.
I have watched Trolls Band Together two times, so I will give second watch for WISH on next week.
@JONOFTHEJONS
I’m looking to get back into it. I fell out of collecting sets awhile ago and have wanted to get back into it. My problems are (1.) franchises I’m interested in or the few I am have relatively little I want, and (2) the prices are outrageous. Maybe I was just a little kid who didn’t notice the prices, but I remember buying 300 piece sets for around $20. Now that same set would cost $40.
Also, Chima being gone sucks.

@Snatcher This is my 3rd Sailor Moon shirt haha
I'm not even that big of a fan, my local grocery store just likes Sailor Moon
One I got at the mall though with my mom @blindsquirrel You better be like my Uncle Bill, he's a gamer and likes Dungeons and Dragons. If you're not like him you will be a horrible uncle.

@EllaTheQueen6 Yeah never seen the show myself.
Just for the memes you should just keep building up a sailor moon collection, then when ask about the series you say “idk I haven’t seen it” lmao.
@Kermit1
DC used to be my favorite ( aside from Chima), but it seems like they aren’t making those sets anymore. The infinity gauntlet looks interesting though, I may get that one if it goes on sale when the Black Friday stuff goes live.
