@Moffo Happy early birthday! Hope you have a really nice one tomorrow.
@Anti-Matter Nope, I haven't yet. I decided to wait for Christmas for the game, in case I get it as a gift. I want to get it. I've seen some gameplay, but the person uploading gameplay lowers the music to avoid copyright, so I can't hear the songs. The only song I know in the game is "Get Back Up Again," from the first movie, only because descriptions mention it. This song.
@Snatcher I'm comign to your house and kidnapping you the seocnd I can afford it, just you wait!
Ok but seriusly that sounds fun, like us both making goofy plushies together @Moffo Stuffed animals are great

@EllaTheQueen6 Build-A-Bear is fun. Been there in the past mostly getting character themed plushies. I have a couple of Trolls ones and a bunch of My Little Pony ones.
@EllaTheQueen6 Hope you get to go one day. Build-A-Bear was always a special occasion thing for me, for example, Christmas. Hoping to go one day to get the new Poppy from Trolls Band Together, I have the two variants from the previous two movies.
They're pricey too, so I usually just go for the plush and the corresponding outfit.
@EllaTheQueen6 Yeah, it's also a bit of an experience. If you want to do it, they have various steps to "making" the plushie, like choosing a small plush heart, making a wish, sometimes doing a silly dance, and so on. I did it once just to have the experience for my first time, but it's optional.
You even use their computers to make a birth certificate. You can also buy online, but the actual store is a much better experience.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
I've been getting completely and utterly destroyed in Splatoon 3's Splatfest. Thank goodness I got the Ruler title and scrubbed my Splatfest tee before it ended... good riddance. In other news, my younger brother came for a visit last night and we also played some Mario Kart 8 Deluxe races! It was fun, and it was a nice break from all that ink-filled chaos that I've been enduring.
@DiamondCore Anytime, and congrats on the brown belt!
That's three, I've seen Trolls Band Together three times already. That's early access, yesterday, and today. I'm totally enjoying this while it's in theaters. I love this movie.
Nice. My second choice is always Yoshi, though I do remember playing as Koopa Troopa quite a bit in Super Mario Kart when I was younger. Same, I always liked the good guys.
Nope, mostly the review consisted of trashing Trolls, praising the Barbie movie. That was it. It wasn't even a review. I've seen a few critical reviews of Trolls where they explain what they like and didn't like. There's a big difference between being critical, and just flat out trashing something because that person personally hates it. One that comes to mind is 24 Frames of Nick's Trolls review, while the title is click-baity, the video was a good balance of what he liked and didn't like. While I don't follow critics, it is an example I could think of. Though seeing people act like that, kind of makes me glad I'm not a "critic." Also, I just enjoy movies when I watch them.
Yeah, the first Trolls Holiday is more about introducing a ton of holidays, while Holiday In Harmony is more about a secret Santa thing, and has more of a Christmas feel to it. Yeah, last few times I play, I got the cape under control. As a kid, I didn't know I had to rock the D-pad back and fourth because my kid mind thought "forward to go forward, back to go back."
Definitely. I virtually have Sonic 1 on everything but the Wii U, lol. I wouldn't mind a Sonic Advance collection if they made one, didn't they make a Mega Man GBA collection recently? Sonic Pinball Party was a lot of fun too. Yeah, IIRC, it was the #1 game on the Wii U eShop in 2021. I remember a lot of Metroid games topped the charts after Metroid Dread was revealed. Nice, all I have is Pokemon Blue, Yellow, and Gold... basically the three I owned as physical Game Boy games.
I always liked how the original GBA felt a bit like a SNES controller thanks to the shoulder buttons and its wide presentation. Yeah, it felt like I didn't need to buy them because I didn't have a player. Then when I realized I could get the combo pack, I won't have to re-buy movies again. It definitely saved money in the long run, and I would have the Disney movie without having to wait for it to be unvaulted, until they stopped doing that. I've only seen a handful of the live action remakes. You're welcome.
Sounds like a nice plan. I think I may put the tree up this week and decorate after Thanksgiving. Just set it up. Looking forward to doing it as I got a new Poppy ornament this year. She's wearing an outfit from the new movie. Yes, that's why I love decorating for the holidays. It makes everything much nicer. I even have Christmas lights up in my room, and it makes the room at night feel cozier.
Thanks. I don't think anyone used it as a popcorn bucket, but it is a nice piece of Trolls merch and a detailed one at that. Also went again today, the theater gave out a Trolls blind bag, lanyard, inflatable microphone (mine has Poppy on it, there's also a Viva one), and ICEE to ticket holders. So got some Trolls stuff today. AMC called it a fan event.
Nice, third time's the charm. Glad you're enjoying the movie. I like playing as Yoshi sometimes and I used to play as him a lot when I was a kid. When the Yoshi's Island course came out for Mario Kart, I played as Yoshi quite a lot to match the occasion. That's cool, we both like the good guys! They're the ones who save the day, after all. If there's any lessons that characters like Mario have taught me, it's to never give up and always do your best.
Yeah exactly. There's nothing wrong with being critical as long as you're constructive about it, and not just throwing insults around. Here's an example of mine... I like how Mario Kart Tour has a bunch of different costumes for all the characters and how it introduced courses that took place around the world, but I just did not like playing the game itself. I didn't like the touch screen controls and the microtransactions, and now that the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC is here, I'd much rather play the Tour courses over there. I know some people liked Tour, and that's fine. Everyone has their own opinions, after all. That's good, as long as you're enjoying whichever movie/game/etc., that's all that matters. I'm pretty much like that with movies as well.
All righty, gotcha. Holiday in Harmony does sound like it's more of a Christmas special, yeah. The cape was also insanely powerful in Super Mario World... you could literally use it to fly over many of the game's levels when you got the timing down.
I'd like that as well, maybe increase the screen resolution while keeping the pixel art, like what Sonic Origins did. Maybe even tweak the controls a little bit. Yep, they made Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection - they made a collection for the Mega Man Zero games as well. Oh that's cool, I think I recall that about the Metroid games... I remember that before Metroid Dread came out, I finished Metroid Fusion. I finished the other 2D games beforehand, too. That's cool, I used to have Pokemon Red and Yellow when I was young. I was considering getting Red from the eShop, but I didn't like how it was all in black and white, and I was content with just getting one of the gen 2 games.
It did kind of feel like the SNES controller, yeah... the original GBA came in similar colors as that of the US design of the SNES. Ah yeah that's good, those combo packs definitely save money in the long run. Disney stopped doing the vault? Didn't know that, that's good to hear.
All righty, that also sounds like a nice plan. I'm planning on getting the tree up after Thanksgiving since my mom likes having seasonal decorations up for each holiday/season. I also got a new ornament this year, this time it's Cat Mario! Can't wait to have him on my tree this year. Agreed on decorating for the holidays. I actually have a few Christmas things in my bedroom as well, such as my little potted cherry tree. It's also got pine cones and a large red ribbon. My train set is here on my shelf, too... just waiting to be put under the tree! I have a picture of that, if you'd like me to show you.
Agreed for sure. That's cool you got quite a few Trolls merch.
@MarioLover92 I don't think I'd be a good fit for Mario, but it would be cool to see myself credited for other VA work in some type of game or show. But that's mostly just a pipe dream that would be cool, nothing I wanna waste too much energy pursuing. I'm sure like a lot of industries that there's a ton of networking involved.
I think my problem with Sonic was I got the impression he was always a character about speed, but it seemed like the earlier games I tried (Read: Sonic 2) tried everything in their power to have hazards that made speed not the wise route. The Sonic games I have tried were fairly decent, the series just never really clicked with me. I'm not sure if something else aired during Sonic X that I wanted to watch or if I just ignored the show and did something else...or ate breakfast. That was a LONG time ago. XD There were some differences between the MMBN games and anime, but for the most part the plots were fairly close IIRC. There was indeed a tournament in the anime, pretty early on in my recollection. Which was why I was confused as a kid that there were two games before the MMBN3 pair. I don't recall any of the material involving Gospel being in the anime at all. Good point, I don't recall seeing Colonel or his operator Baryl (SP) in the anime either. Via the internet, it appears that he was in the Stream season of the anime, which wasn't localized.
Yeah. I'm sure there's a ton of work involved for if you're a voice actor, as well. Similarly, I've been wanting to get into game design, but I found out that I don't like programming very much. I know it's essential for making games, but it's quite taxing for me... partly because I tend to overthink a lot and there's a lot of code that would have to be made. I'd probably be best at doing stuff like artwork. I'm sure you remember that I've posted drawings before.
That's understandable, yeah the level design doesn't always favor going fast. I think I get hit more often in the Sonic games than in the Mario games, too... at least you won't lose a life as long as you have at least one ring. I do like the Sonic games and they get better the more they're played, but I definitely like Mario's adventures more overall. (Bet you didn't see that coming... haha!) Oh gotcha, I was thinking that tournament part was around Battle Network 4's plot or something. I guess that NT Warrior's ratings went down later on, IIRC, BN5 and 6 didn't sell very well. Presumably because the GBA was on its way out.

Favorite game: Super Mario 3D World
AKA MarioVillager92. Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I want to get to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
Space and Games are similar. Space is endless and new stuff is out there waiting to be discovered. Games are always being made but the creativity is different from one game to another and so many more ideas still haven't been imagined or created yet. (That came out better than expected lol)
